If Paula made a spelling error that is not very important, the importance issue is the job that she is going to perform, and in this party we had never had a woman as a moderator, ( but during the war women played an important role in this party ) and in certain occasions women have more courage than men. like in Colombia where a bunch of women built their own city because most of their husbands are dead

Thank you Marcos for your support. I’m happy to join the revolutionary women of the world.

If anyone from now on posts anything that I consider inappropriate, I’m going to moderate them now that I’m officially a moderator. If they say something abusive I’m going to delete them without warning – hopefully I can do this now that I’m official. If they say something vaguely insulting or otherwise inappropriate, I’m going to warn them and I’ll do this privately. As a party member I advocate free speech but reserve the right to censor abuse.

I’ve just realised the answer to my own question – the EC will moderate the moderators.

As someone who was moderated in the past by Cde Alan Johnson, I think I understand the moderator role. Alan was very strict and he told me off many times but I respected his opinion. I’m willing to be a moderator, but perhaps I’m a bit of a loose cannon who might need to be moderated myself. Who will moderate the moderators?

Lancaster Branch meeting – anyone can come – especially if you’re not a member of SPGB

“Should we get rid of the monarchy

Is it time to ditch this old-fashioned game of thrones, rooted as it is in slavery, robbery, murder, tax dodging and unsavoury sex scandals? Would an elected head of state make any difference to your life?

Join us for a talk and discussion at the Friends’ Meeting House, 2pm on Saturday 13 May.”

In light of today’s media glorification of Zelenskiy’s visit to London, let’s not forget John Lennon https://youtu.be/C3_0GqPvr4U

Thanks for posting Thomas. I think Johnny Cash may have been influenced by that episode! Shame about the ending… https://youtu.be/jxvR7ZUjaJk

The thing that struck me the most about the broadcast was how pundits keep telling us that rich people/entrepreneurs create wealth. This falsehood is repeated so often, without challenge, that it has become accepted as fact. It was heartwarming to hear on tv that it’s us who produce wealth not them. Maybe Paddy could have his own slot on GB News!
