How can we reply to a particular message in the forum? I have tried to reply to a message posted by another member, but the reply does not fall below on top of the message selected

It doesn’t do that nicely. Either copy and  quote the part you are replying to as above  using or copy the link into it as a workaround like this. #156985

Thanks Norm for the feedback. It was a copy hurriedly taken from a web archive to get the ‘Education‘ section up and running, but Lew Higgins provided me with a better one which is now up, https://www.worldsocialism.org/spgb/publications/an-a-to-z-of-marxism/ along with a hopefully handy PDF Compendium version.

Madness. And I don’t think you’ll have a lot of time to enjoy the wine and fish as mass migration, resultant war and rising/poisonous seas will see to that. There are no benefits to global warming that don’t come with a side order of death…..

Only socialism provides the solution, to war and polution.

We are very much on the edge of the abyss and cataclysmic climate change …unless capitalism can fix things. You believe it can and it will.

Hogwash! Where did I say this anywhere. https://www.worldsocialism.org/spgb/forum/topic/climate-crisis-our-last-chance/page/2/#post-156587

We never argue that capitalism will remedy anything. Only that it will throw up some technological fixes and potential solutions but it can not escape its profit driven imperative

Any reforms sow the seeds of the next crisis. Always too little too late.

So the answer lies in switching over to a production for use , free access, commonly owned, rational model of society where we can input as social equals and correct problems within a sustainable life sustaining environment, which has a direct local , regional and global perspective informing value judgement calls.

We can do more of this type of thing as well as trying to engage with others.

An Inconvenient Question-Socialism and the Environment

And in another vein from an article,

    Beyond cynicism

There are no prizes for predicting that the future under capitalism will be lousy. But the prize to be gained by transcending the rut of cynical inaction is the world and its abundant wealth which will be ours—the property of all—as soon and as long as the majority cease to be in mental bondage to the illusion of the impossibility of their own freedom.

We can engage with others on problems there,  but not to the extent of jettisoning or downgrading our case.

We are the few making it.

They just added a fix that hopefully should resolve the problem.

The first three articles all have incorrect images and the remainder have no images at all.

Thanks Wez. I asked the agency to fix it. It is going to be sorted. The frontpage should just take from the current Standard and did so for the past couple of months but now it is acting up weirdly.

Just to say that the present homepage of our website features a mixture of incorrect images and broken links (on my browser) at the moment.

Yes it is throwing up previous Pathfinder images. This was set to update the frontpage automatically. I took the Beaverbrook image out of the article but it still shows. Something will have to be done in the CMS script I think.

Send me an email about specific broken links though. I’ve got to get into Edinburgh for now.

There might be some occasional brief server outage today as a problem is being worked on.
