The issue encapsulated in the thread is how and whether we can or do, intervene in the class struggle, for a revolutionary outcome.
Bernard’s use of ‘Divine’ is a metaphorical allusion to a perception of us ‘just waiting’. (For Godot or whatever.)
I think ALB and ALJO have summed up our historical materialist position.

I eavesdropped into that EC meeting and some comrades did attempt to get aboard, one from abroad, without success or with only partial success.
I could hear, surprisingly, but not be heard, but I had only intended to lurk anyway.
It was a successful event by and large with untried software and everyone even those in the meeting had individual difficulties to overcome.
That was stuck in a ‘pending’ file Robin. If you don’t see a post right away use the ‘Contact Forum admin‘ on the Forum menu, as I am always busy elsewhere and won’t notice posts which have been held up.
I did say that ‘The class struggle goes on regardless.’
But the political struggle for other than socialism is futile.

It is still an evil. The class struggle goes on regardless. It is hindered by ideologically reinforced misconceptions. Weakened by bureaucratic union organisations. So many in the USA think they are middle class because they wear white collars to work.
Really though, what I think is more important is what people do on the hundreds of other days when there is no election….
Well, that is what the handful of comrades in the WSPUS are doing. Trying to make socialists. There is no other worthwhile alternative to this.
Everything else is futile.
They are combining to try and save capitalism lest their goose does not lay the golden eggs as it used to.

I asked you to write to alert me when your posts don’t appear as they are full of links instead of duplicating them.
That is why the one above is out of synch.
I can’t be in here in the Forum all the time.
I generally do a long-winded one, depending on where I am, as in an advanced, post-capitalist, production for use, free access, commonly owned global society run by us all, locally, regionally, globally in administration over resources and not governments over people. It gets a response and I can then elaborate further, how this is classical socialism/communism, as understood prior to the reformist and state capitalist usurpation of the name.
