Alan, how about, "Labour's 4th way!"
May 14, 2015 at 2:27 pm in reply to: Special post-election conference on the party and its future #110908northern lightParticipantI know it's only been a week since the election, but has there been much public interest generated by party activity. Any Form A's perhaps?
northern lightParticipantVin, I have not got an answer for you, but I have a question. Left wing, right wing, centre ground, are all heads of the same monster, all trying to manipulate the markets in their favour, and we know this. So can you simply ask this guy, in his opinion, what do we do or say to justify being called, "rabid left wingers?" I am simply trying to see how others might see us.
northern lightParticipantBrand says he is, " just a bloke with a lap-top and a bit of mouth." Albeit he has his mate Gareth behind the camera.Do we have a bloke, or a woman, with a bit of mouth, and someone to do the recording. Brand has his "Trews," Why can't we have our own regular series on Youtube? Why rely on a lose cannon like Brand, when we can do it ourselves?

They are not ready to receive and ACCEPT our message. The green shoots of growth have been felt in well tended tory strongholds and marginal seats are awash with bribery. Couple that with promises of tax freezes and that's how the tories pulled it off.Vulnerable families subsiding on benifits must be fearing the worst
May 7, 2015 at 10:54 pm in reply to: The Workers of the World aren’t uniting with you when you’ve only 817 Twitter followers! #110773northern lightParticipantOn the 27th. of April, the opening post quotes, "The workers of the World aren't uniting with you when you've only 817 Twitter followers."Fast forward ten days and with a little more action on our Twitter Account, we now have 924 Followers. An increase of 107 Followers in 10 days. If we use this account wisely, we might yet make this reporter eat his words!
northern lightParticipantOn behalf of the Norht East branch, I would like to thank everyone involved in campaigning for the forthcoming election. Your inspirational enthusiasm has kindled a fire that must endure. You probibly will not achieve what your hard work and honest endevour deserve, but I hope your vote count surpasses your every expectation. Thankyou comrades,
northern lightParticipant"Money is always available for branches and committees to request at any time, regardless of if we are running an election or not…" Is that so? We asked the E.C. for financial aid. Nothing extravagant, just the portion of subs our members paid in. We got diddly squat.
northern lightParticipantWell the North East branch may not have recieved any funds for an election war chest, but the Sunderland Echo has given us some free publicity (I hope the link opens) http://www.sunderlandecho.com/news/local/all-news/the-candidates-running-for-easington-in-the-general-election-1-7247112
northern lightParticipant# 104 ended like a damp squib. It was a scene from the film, " Invasion of the Body Snatchers."
northern lightParticipantThanks for that, ALB. I must have missed that somehow.
northern lightParticipantSo Brand has gone from a firebrand revolutionary, with quotes like, "I think I have made it very clear, I have no faith in this system," to someone who very meakly advocates voting for Ed Miliband. There is something not right about this whole affair!! I think I might have the answer.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=52vK2-Dv1TA
northern lightParticipantAdvert in the local paper. Well done. We need the publicity any which way we can. This is one avenue we considered here in the N.E. We asked the E.C. if we could have our members subs returned, as a fighting fund for our election campain. The E.C. placed the matter in the hands of the party treasurer and we heard no more. Such as shame, now that I see what we could have achieved. Keep up the good work, Kent & Sussex. I hope your efforts are well rewarded.
northern lightParticipantI think the whole point is being missed here. It was never about Russell Brand. Brand is just one man. It was about getting access to the thousands of young people who follow him on the various networks. People who might never hear of the S.P.G.B.
northern lightParticipantHi ALB, This is the whole point of standing in these elections, getting our message out to members of the public. I am pleased to see that Steve's oration has borne fruit. I hope our hostility clause does not prevent some sort of liaison between our groups. At the very least I can see a debate in the offing.
