“Here, here Lizzie! All-in, care to remind Bojo’s Brain, Robotomy and Thomas Bore of the thread topic? The Ukraine/Russia conflict.”

    “Truly Stupid –”

“And if this debate on the war in Ukraine bores you so much why participate in it?”

It’s no longer a debate on the war in Ukraine, or hadn’t you noticed, stupider.

    Yawn, yawn, yawn!

And, with a seemingly straight face, you ask why your approach fails to appeal.

Why our approach fails to appeal.

    Jaysus!!

And now for something completely different.

German band Scorpions with good friend Vanessa Vanakorn on violin when she was just eighteen!

“Do it if you want to. I wouldn’t want to stop you or anyone else, even though I can’t see how it can achieve much.”

Thanks – that’s very magnanimous of you!

There’s more than an even chance it’ll achieve more than you guys have in 118 years.

“Why is Zelensky denying that it came from Ukraine when everybody else (the US, Poland, Russia) is saying that it did and could only have?”

Surely to bring pressure on NATO to intervene militarily.

NATO’s Article 5 states that the parties to the NATO treaty “agree that an armed attack against one or more of them in Europe or North America shall be considered an attack against them all.”

Poland is a party to the treaty.

    “I’m an Aquarium.”

Noun: a transparent tank of water in which live fish and other water creatures and plants are kept.

I’m guessing you mean Aquarian 🙂

In all fairness I do occasionally adopt other positions, if only to give the knees (and the mouth) a rest… 🙂 🙂 🙂

“What is SPGB doing right now to take advantage of the capitalist crisis we’re living through? I bet not one God damn thing.”

Much too harsh, TS. The SPGB is engaging in the same abstract propaganda which they’ve been undertaking for 118 years. Please give credit where it’s due. 🙂

The campaign originally urged people to cancel their direct debit energy payments on 1st October, but organisers said it would postpone it until it gathered more pace.

The launch of the new energy bill strike follows the government’s U-turn on the duration of the Energy Price Guarantee.

UK households are predicted to see their bills rise to more than £4,300 a year from April next year after the government’s energy bill support ends.

Data from OFGEM shows that 2,347,511 households were behind on their electricity bills and 1,858,585 on their gas bills at the end of June.

An unelected multi-millionaire has been installed in 10 Downing Street. The government has already made a u-turn on the ‘Energy Price Guarantee’, and we face another energy bills price hike in April 2023. It’ll be a cold miserable winter for millions – unless we take decisive action together.

    So we’re striking on 1 December 2022.

Which are not only not humourous but insulting too.
