According to the post #142 dated 10th March 2016 on the Forum thread – "twitter account @worldsocialism.org", the Forum moderators issued the suspension. Cde Stephen Davison, aka SocialistPunk, posted a link to this post from post #125 on the Forum thread – "Moderators decision on Cde. Maratty's indefinite forum ban". If you have any evidence that the EC, not the Forum moderators, issued the ban, then could you please let me know. Thanks. YFS, Oliver acting general secretary

lindanesocialistParticipantIts George Orwell and off topic
lindanesocialistParticipantWhimsical and humorous, satire and a love for Orwell and freedom of speech.all the best Joe PS it is under off topic and jokesbut one can wonder what 1984 would have made of the need to beg for free speech

lindanesocialistParticipantSend them to me I know someone who would be more than happy to make them accessible.According to its secretary, West London Branch will be considering a members' proposal to make short videos and an 'impressive' video at next Tuesdays meeting.
lindanesocialistParticipantAs you know comrades, Vin can no longer make a contribution on this issue.

lindanesocialistParticipantmoderator1 wrote:By allowing this practice to continue the moderators were faced with the possibility of being confronted with an even bigger dilemma. Namely, what action could we apply under the old Rule 8. which was appropriate and acceptable if the "Vin said" messages contained a further breach of the rules?I would have thought that I (the account holder) would be responsible if the 'Vin said' comments broke the rules. I do'nt think they did before the mods changed the rules. Now of course it is against the rules. So there will be no more 'Vin saids'. Not from me anyway
lindanesocialistParticipantALB wrote:There is in fact a Conference Resolution, from 2013, on the sort of videos needed:Quote:That the EC acknowledge the need for Party writers to produce 10-minute scripts on specific subjects for use at public meetings and on video.i.e. 10 minute videos not block busters like Capitalism and Kids Stuff.
As Vin suggests here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=roJc5Ytu8LY ?By the way the negative images are used just to show how video can be added. Better quailty can be achieved with a better green screen and studio lightingAnd this one is just over 8 minutes https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-HemZYkiXz4

Seeing you are currently in correspondence with the moderators via PM's on this very subject it appears this question is unnecessary.
Well I (or we) appreciate the openess of the SPGB and wish to maintain such openess.
