In 2012-3 I was in correspondence over a chapter on the SPGB (possibly for Vol II), but in the end (the deadline was 1 October 2013) I was unable to deliver a satisfactory draft.

Oh dear.  Unintended, and unfortunate, timing for criticising the man.

I started this topic after the first erroneous reports of his death. See herehttps://thecharnelhouse.org/2018/03/18/moishe-postone-1942-2018/Since criticism is part and parcel of academia, I don't see sensible criticism of what he put forward, as a problem.

It appears to be listed as individual articles rather than a book at MIA Pieter Lawrence page. Books at MIA link to the following chapter at the end of each page. Although each page does reference the book and Chapter number at the top.

A search of Marxists Internet Archive shows the term 'r-r-revolutionary' goes back to 1909 used by both Kautsky and Lenin. Not sure who was firsthttps://www.google.co.uk/search?&q=r-r-revolutionary+site%3Amarxists.org

I forgot all about the magazine "Revolution" that was produced by the Party, mostly circulated for Party members, which printed letters which were published.

When was this? I've never heard of this.

No. The SPGB is not accelerationist,No. Marxism is not teleological.No. Capitalism will not collapse.i should be able to live and work whereever in the world I please, as should any other person, regardless of skin colour. There is no such thing as "natural boundaries". There hasn't been "natural boundaries" two hundred years ago, a hundred years ago, fifty years ago or at any point throughout history. One of the least ethnically diverse states is North Korea and its hardly a workers paradise, quite the opposite in fact.

Barltrop recounts that at one time Party members paid little attention to current events. As long as you knew your theory of value and had a handle on the MCH you were in a position to analyze anything. And they were right. This stuff in the media is ephemeral, purely ephemeral. These ghastly situations and the  horrible actors who play a role in them come and go. I last purchased a newspaper in 1984. It was an Observer.

This would be the time when membership (and new applicants) fell year-on-year, because membership was growing when the likes of Hardy were debating 'Federal Union' and other such stuff that would be arguably somewhat irrelevant now. Crump even in his resignation way back in 1973 saw a problem with the 'passing show' attitude (whether borne out of utopianism or determinism). This was rejected by many members at the time of Crumps comments, but was the name of a regular column in the Standard.
