Maybe a better way of putting it would be “distribution for free”.

While the SWP do invite non-SWP speakers and offer space for non-SWP stalls (which the SPGB did last year), it clashes with Summer School except for the Thursday and Monday but there may be some London SPGB members attending, I don’t know.

But what if a significant proportion of producers where prepared to continue to produce for free, then why would it only be a temporary fall in prices? Also what if distribution was widespread and global in reach, how could any goods or services with a price outcompete those without?

There is a certain irony here (a lot in fact). This “party” has nothing to do with  the main Humanist movement but is/was the front for a cult based on the spiritual teachings of someone who called himself “Silo” which tried to pass itself off as bona fide Humanists. I remember meeting some one of them in Ealing in the 1990s when they contested a local election. At that time they were trying to pass themselves off as the Greens. I must still have their leaflets somewhere.

Oh right okay. I take it the Rationalist Association who publish New Humanist are more legit. Funny that British Humanist Association should be separate from New Humanist. Kind of assumed the former published the latter.

Participating in music is generally a good way of engaging people but personally I cringe at how dated it sounds whenever I hear the internationale.A practice I think might be worth reviving is the “team photographs” at conference/summer school on a voluntary basis.

Good idea. Maybe Robin could pester them too to admit people with religious hang-ups.

There is a difference , as I am sure you realise, between an organisation whose purpose is specifically to combat religious ideas and a political party whose purpose is to help  transform society . If you are expecting the latter to depend on a majority becoming convinced atheists you will be waiting forever

The BHA describes itself as more than combatting religious ideas. Its committed to secularism, human rights, democracy, egalitarianism and mutual respect. It works for an open and inclusive society with freedom of belief and speech. There is even a Humanist political party.Humanist Party – United Kingdom
