Technical difficulties prevented them putting it up earlier, but better late than never.http://www.bigsmoke.org.uk/?p=77382I see the video got reposted on the I Acknowledge The Class War Exists Facebook Page. I hated Jack London’s Iron Heel when I read it many, many years ago but it was just after I’d read Robert Barltrop’s biography of London, and no doubt my opinion was coloured by Barltrop disclosure that London was a racist.I’ll probably read it again one of these days.

Participantjondwhite wrote:What is the WSPUS activity like? I e-mailed them once and a member in NYC but got no reply. Do they meet?Hi jondwhite, just spotted this. I’m a member in NYC, but I don’t remember receiving your email. What email address did you contact? The WSPUS is very small and very dispersed across the country. I can’t speak for other members but family commitments does mean I can’t be as active as much as I would like.Writing that, I may be doing a stall at the Brooklyn Peace Fair at the end of this month. It really depends on the aforementioned family commitments.Cheers

ParticipantI see one of the talking heads on the programme is Alwyn Turner. I read his book about Britain in the seventies, ‘Crisis? What Crisis?’, a wee while back, so I’ll look forward to this.Cheers for the heads up.

ParticipantNo idea if Pankhurst had any opinions about the SPGB, but fellow Workers’ Socialist Federation member, Harry Pollitt, wrote approvingly of early SPGB member, Moses Baritz, in his autobiography ‘Serving My Time’ which was published sometime in the 50s.

ParticipantSorted. Cheers for that, but . . . .from the same issue, the book review images are missing. And, now that I think about it, any chance of the links for the book reviews being individually linked?Just a thought.
