Stuart I base realism on actual actions not words and the fact that the SNP is being voted in by a majority of sCots thats realism not wishful thinking . I know you would rather they voted for the Socialist Party but they dont thats a fact . Who then is at least to more of a degree than other political parties with a realistic chance of being voted in in SCotland has policies of help for the poor against the privatation of the nHS -removal of Trident from the Holy LOch ans Faslane – WEstminster are now opening up more nuke sub v bases in the WESt coast .THeyb wil be cutting the SCottish block grant even more to make us comply with total neo -con privatisation and who will they blame =Holyrood to slyly con the SCots again.
ON the hope I will not be censored or blocked from posting here (as has happened) I would likecv to comment on the information supplied by Allan. I realise "internationalism" is a key feature of policy here and this word was used in connection with the above comments on the SCottish referendum by the no campainers. I will put simple facts = Glasgow -WEst Dumbartonshire-Dundee and I think North Lanarkshire voted Yes . What have those areas all in common ==Abject Poverty as someone who has lived in Glasgow and Clydebank and was the poorest in my street I know how it felt .THe people voting No were those middle class /rich and also the "wee fearties " believing all the 2 years of lies from WEstminster who wouldnt kniow the truth if they tripped over it inthe road . It amounted to if we voted yes Scotland woukld break away from Enfgland and sink into the North SEa -sadlly many Scots believed it THe East of Scotland Edinburgh etc dont see the same levels of poverty as in the WEst or it is more hidden -poverty -what poverty !! THis is a "we are all right so there !! Its total hypocracy No inreality the yes vote was for social democracy while Cameron is fully privatising the NHS -not happen in SCotland ? all they will do is reduce the SCottish grant which they have already done and force Hollyrood intio a no win situaltion and then blame the sNP for WEstminsters connivance as they are doindcart this very moment =New Labour are blaiming Holyrood when its Westminster thats behind it. Steve I too have read many accounts of the Great Patriotic War and yes Stalin was paranoic but you still leave out the 1000s of political advisors who Stalin put in the armed forces to keep the "pure " why do you leave out the truth ? Hitler wasnt inept in the first year or two of WW2 even his Generals were amazed at his political and war strategy moves right up till he returned triumphant from conquering FRance . Apart from Mein Kampf I have read many books on the World Wars as it interests me -including =Russia,s Heroes-Albert Axell– Russia,s WAr -Richard Overy and the secret story of how the allies behaved to the Germans rounding up over 1 million putting them into a concentration camp and starving them to death -care to deny that ??? and plenty of them did their own raping as well . Or how about how the Poles "removed " German civilians from the eastern part of Germany killing 1000s or the cover up of 500000 or more Germans put into a concentration camp by Poles and totrured to death -not read that one Steve ? If all you can do is curse and swear without replying intelligently to my points then that says much for your reasoning powers.

I read it yesterday Alan . New Labour is losing its voters because it is New Tory ,as you know most Scots voted Labour throughout their lives as many worked in engineering factories now removed by Maggie they were also members of the AEU as I was at the time which was affiliated to Labour but Labour went New Labour when they lost out to Maggie in votes (English votes ) After the packs of lies from Westminster for 2 years they are now thinking of bring out the arch Quisling -Gordon -I betrayed the SCots Brown to con the Scots again. What I admire about the English people is they would not be taken in by fear stories and go out and protest in the streets and write letters to their MP,s and they take notice . Hello Socialist Punk. Idealism and talks on the theory of a poitical viewpoint are all very well but when you grow up along with others just as poor as you you see real life you suffer along with others because you are poor . You see rich kids get everything in life while you get a bar of chocolat for Christmas ,you go to school with holes inyour shoes and a peice of cardboard covering the hole itb gets wet and you get the flu as well as chillblains in the snow . Because you are not fed you get illness after illness the organs in your body being denied vitamins dont develop correctly leading to operations in childhood . At morning service in primary school you faint from lack of food in the school playground you faint as well .You are patronised by richer kids and laughed at you are never shown any love or affection . Instead of me dying at an early age I developed an extremely strong will -power and determination to survive and I have . I deal only in reality not in wishful thinking I wake up not to a vision but the cold hard truth of life . THat is why I am not keen to go into intelectual debates as I am only interested in reality and action . I dont see life through rose-tinted glasses I see the poor burdened with more taxes and the rich have tax reductions to pay the IMF/World Banksters . You castigate Left Unity but you dont or wont relise that that organisation is at least doing something physical to change society – Yes they dont come up to your Marxism standard but so what ? its people you should concentrate on not ideals which you will never achieve if you are honest with yourself as people wont vote for you in great numbers in the UK . Why cant you bend a little and stop infighting over ideals while the poor die ?
In the persuit of perfection you will never achieve a willing consencus of the majority population no party of any hue has done its always been a dictatorship be it left or right . I dont l;ive in a dream world of any shade life is seen to me cold and stark ideals dont work its been tried before and failed people will always be greedy -selfish etc human nature wont change unles you have control of the young from school age onwards to put into their minds your vision of humanity and that takes generations the neo-cons have achieved that by constant media propaganda about becoming just like the US 99 % who are brainwashed into thinking Socialist= communist=red thats how they think so are blocked from fighting their own government as it is to them unpatriotic as is joining a union (only 20 % are in a union in the us ) .they fight among themselves as to who gets promotion (divide and conquer ) while big business stands back laughing at them. Ian I realise that most of you here are looking for the "Holy Grail" of perfection in alignment to your political beliefs obtaining philosofical perfection and so condemn those not perfect . While this is good as a talking point thats all it is . It doesnt frighten Westminster . What you need is action , bringing the 99 % round to your point of view or revolution . THe UK government has like the US got that locked down tight and if you advocated action you would like has happened to me many times you would be attacked your PC rubbished and your server taken out too as happens to other sites I post on. Viruses implanted to slow down reaching this site and very slow page turning. OKay you dont approve of the new party that will take over in Greece but they are still left wing compared to many including the UK,cant you at least say -well its a step in the right direction ? Can you initiate a revolution of the peoples minds even with the present Depression and hardship of the poor they still wont go far to the left as witnessed in election after election here.They vote in far right neo-cons because they want their shares to rise and house prices to rise as well . If you are unbending they wont vote for you thats a fact. I am just looking for reality and practical down to earth views of the way to achieve the removal of the yoke round the necks of the poor.

As the comments relate to Syriza here I get the impression from the posts that this political group in Greece is not "kosher " in the eyes of many . Dealing in real life there is zero chance of Marxism taking over the people just wont vote for them in enough numbers to make a change in Greece . THeir only hope as it stands is voting for this left of centre group to achieve some relief from suffering. If the extensive rioting has not moved the people further left because they dont have an effective political leader to guide them then the goals you want will not be achived. It is all very well wishing on a philosophical basis but at the end of the day action must be taken . JUst like a certain South American country and Iceland who said this debt is crippling us and the poor are suffering so they told the IMF/Banksters/neo-cons -we are not paying up. And it worked . Ah! but Alan I am a "citizen of the World " I post on a highly contoversial website and have done for the past year and a half.
