I was going to ask if you believe that black people can’t be racist because they are black, but then I remembered, that it doesn’t matter.
Literally, who cares if anti-Zionism is labelled anti-Semitism or Corbyn is labelled an anti-Semite? It’s not like Labour is going to bring socialism through gradual reform or it has anything more than marginal support among the British society at large.
In that line of thought, who cares if Israel, a liberal-capitalist nation-state, violates “international law”, an invention of liberal capitalist nation-states designed to preserve the hold of capitalists over lands that rightfully belong to the commons?
Furthermore, who cares how Labour police its crazy members and for what “crimes”?
This fixation with Israel is nothing more than capitalist political squabble and spending more than 20 minutes over tea discussing it does nothing to further the socialist cause. On the contrary, it only alienates potential Jewish supporters.
The socialist critique on Israel is merely a part of a much broader critique of nationalism and has absolutely no reason to worry of being unjustly labelled as racist at least not beyond the usual smearing of the right which will happen regardless.
In my opinion, this whole thread is pointless picking of a wound that should be closed and left to heal, preferably as soon as possible.
