Instead of looking for some conspiratorial cause i will stick to my initial assumption from message #236261

“Long ago I remember the media made much of a missile attack against an Israel town until Israel explained that it was their own missile, part of Iron Dome…what goes up must come down somewhere.”

My educated guess appears to have been later confirmed by the wreckage being identified as from a S-300 surface-to-air missile.

Just as I discounted any Russian motive, similarly I would have suspected that Ukraine would not have engaged in any false flag op against an ally vital to it, especially a plot that could be so easily detected.

The IAEA dismissed TS pet theory that Ukraine was planning a dirty nuke bomb and Russia itself now accepts that conclusion by the IAEA

As for the WSPUS assessment, TS may claim it supports his view but it runs counter that Russia is preparing a Winter War when the ground is frozen
“Winter is approaching. The weather will impose a pause in hostilities.”

The author is entitled to his own opinion but the claim of a shortage of shells is made from a Sept28 report. Since then US has purchased 100,000 rounds of 155mm artillery shells to be delivered to Ukraine.

Plenty more of suppliers around the world only too willing to make a fast buck from war.

Also the USA is passing an arms requisition bill to replenish its stocks reported on our own blog.

In the coming days, the verdict of Dutch judges trial in absentia of three Russians and a Donbass separatist into the downing of MH-17 civil airliner will be published.

TS “Who’s gonna be offended by that? Lol”

    I am.

My wife died from the medical condition, and I am sure others will have had family and friends suffer also. To use it in jest is both distressing and distasteful.

True Scotsman, I deleted one of your messages replying to Bijou Drain for being unnecessarily insulting.

    Accidents happen in war.

Long ago I remember the media made much of a missile attack against an Israel town until Israel explained that it was their own missile, part of Iron Dome…what goes up must come down somewhere.

Despite describing everything as precision just because of GPS guidance, rockets and shelling often go awry.

Logic leads me to think that Russia would do everything it can not to involve the risk of NATO involvement. Nor does NATO require a message from Russia that there exists a possibility of the war expanding beyond Ukraine’s borders.

War hawks may delight in such incidents but we should exercise reason and dampen down war fever.

“I am confident predicting that Ukraine’s offensive is nearing the high water mark and will soon become a mass casualty event for the Ukrainian army. It may take a few more days for the situation to stabilize entirely, but that point is rapidly approaching and many of Ukraine’s best units face destruction… the actual counteroffensive is turning into a catastrophe for Ukraine…Russia has the firepower and mobility to crush these offensives… the defeat of the current counteroffensives demonstrate that it is still well on the path to victory…”

And after September the 10th what took place…the Ukrainian offensive continued,

I read your military expert’s September 10 report.

He couldn’t have got it any more wrong.
