PREVIOUS MINUTES/ERRORS & OMISSIONS:                     

 

Minutes of previous minutes read and received.  No errors or omissions.  C Matene moved the minutes be accepted, 2^nd T Lovatt.

DISCUSSION ARISING FROM PREVIOUS MINUTES:

1.            Have not registered WSPNZ with Wikipedia to make contributions to their website yet.

2.            Rick Barber was made a member of the WSPNZ after submitting an online membership form in 2012.

3.            WSPNZ website – corresponding with T Miller from the SPGB internet committee to update WSPNZ website.

CORRESPONDENCE:       

1.            Socialist Party of Canada – Secretary’s report for May 2013 received via email.  Good of the movement:

– One Introductory package requested and sent out.

– Coffee House meeting for April realized.

– Imagine Spring Edition in production.

2.            SPGB internet committee – corresponding with T Miller regarding uploading new WSPNZ website.

3.      Akshaay Ananth – Entry received for the essay writing competition.  Reply sent acknowledging receiving the entry.  Competition closes Tuesday 14^th May.  Winner announced on Tuesday 28^th May.

 LITERATURE SECRETARY’S REPORT:

                Not available.  Postpone until next month.

TREASURER’S REPORT: 

Treasurer’s report received and read.  Watercare account for March/April paid.  T Lovatt moved the treasurer’s report be accepted and any outstanding accounts be paid, 2^nd C Matene.

GENERAL BUSINESS:

1.    One of the term deposit investments matures in April 2013.  Discussion regarding other investment options such as bonus bonds or sharemarket.

NEXT MEETING:                                Sunday 2^nd June 2013.
