    WORLD SOCIALIST PARTY (NEW ZEALAND) – General Administrative Committee

    Meeting held at 51 Weymouth Road, Manurewa, Auckland

    DATE:                                    Sunday 2nd February 2014.

    CHAIRPERSON:                 C Malins.  Moved T Lovatt, 2nd C Matene.

    OPEN:                                   2:00pm.

    PRESENT:                             (Committee)      A Coombs, T Lovatt, C Matene.
                                                    (Members)         G Coffey, V Lovatt, C Malins, J Ryder.

    APOLOGIES:                       M Grayson, M Gribble.

    PREVIOUS MINUTES/ERRORS & OMISSIONS:

    Previous minutes read.  No errors or omissions.  C Matene moved the minutes be
    accepted as true and correct, 2nd T Lovatt.  Previous minutes accepted.

    DISCUSSION ARISING FROM PREVIOUS MINUTES:

                    Reply from the Internet Committee has been received.

    CORRESPONDENCE:

    1.            WSP India – email received from Binay Sarkar thanking the WSPNZ for
    voting to re-instate the WSP India into the WSM.

    2.            Internet Committee – email received from Tristan Miller regarding
    WSPNZ website.  Check SFTP program and password.  Screenshot any dialogue errors if
    there is a problem logging on.

    3.            SPC – Newsletter for February received via email.

                    C Matene moved the correspondence be accepted, 2nd T Lovatt.

    LITERATURE SECRETARY’S REPORT:

                    Postpone until next meeting.

    TREASURER’S REPORT:

    Treasurer’s report was read.  PSIS funds from one of the term investments have not
    been reinvested, instead, $1000 has been put into the bonus bonds account and the
    rest of the funds have been moved to the operating account so that maintenance and
    upkeep of HQ can be completed.  C Matene moved the treasurer’s report be accepted,
    2nd T Lovatt.

    GENERAL BUSINESS:

    1.            Face TV is now only available on Sky TV.  It is no longer available on
    the Freeview channels.

    2.            T Lovatt suggests writing to the Green Party explaining how the
    protection of the environment will fail under capitalism.
