Held via telephone at 51 Weymouth Road, Manurewa and 15 Tanera Crescent, Wellington

PREVIOUS MINUTES/ERRORS & OMISSIONS:                     

 

Minutes for May and June were read out.  C Matene moved the previous minutes be accepted, 2^nd M Gribble.

 

DISCUSSION ARISING FROM PREVIOUS MINUTES:

 

Current tenant will be moving out.  Another tenant has agreed to move in.

 

CORRESPONDENCE:       

 

1.            Socialist Party of Canada – Newsletter received via email.

2.            Socialist Party of Canada – General Administrative Committee minutes received.

3.            C Matene moved the correspondence be accepted, 2^nd V Lovatt.

 

LITERATURE SECRETARY’S REPORT:

 

                Socialist Standards for June have arrived and will be sent to subscribers today.

 

TREASURER’S REPORT: 

 

                M Gribble presented and moved the treasurer’s report be accepted, 2^nd A Coombs.

 

NEW NOTICE OF MOTION:

 

M Gribble moves that the WSPNZ change the title of Executive Committee to General Administrative Committee, 2^nd A Coombs.  Circulate a referendum to each party member within 21 days of the motion.  Return date of voting papers shall be 14 days from the date of issue.

 

GENERAL BUSINESS:

 

1.            Discussion on changing the name of the WSPNZ Executive Committee to the General Administrative Committee.  A change of name, not a change of function.

2.            Annual donations from tenants approximately $4000.  Discussion on increasing the weekly donation to cover incidentals incurred at HQ, considering the rise in land and water rates, insurance etc.  V Lovatt moved the WSPNZ EC entrust the Auckland Branch to discuss and report back to the EC, 2^nd M Gribble.
