Dear Comrades,I think the SPGB's EC never violated any rules, Binay Sarkar should read the SPGB's rule book carefully. The rule No.26 holds → The method and the result of a party poll shall overule all other decisions. I know the decision is not from the WSP(I)  as a whole, but Binay Sarkar is the decision maker alone. I know he is a vindictive. YFS,Gorachand

Gorachand, you may, of course, comment on the minutes of the WSP (India) but can i remind you of this rule and the section i have highlighted

    Quote:
    7. You are free to express your views candidly and forcefully provided you remain civil. Do not use the forums to send abuse, threats, personal insults or attacks, or purposely inflammatory remarks (trolling). Do not respond to such messages.

This is not an official reminder but more of a comradely early intervention to avoid future problems. Cde. Sarkar is a fellow member of the WSM and we cannot accept having aspersions cast upon his character on the forum. I hope you take note of this informal cautionary message so that the issue does not become more serious. Take care with future posts.

If this is not an official reminder to Gorachand wouldn't it have been preferable to send him a PM?  But it occurs to me that he was well within the limits of Rule 7 which permits the candid and forceful expression of views.  Odd too that "aspersions" can be cast upon certain members of the SPGB without so much as a murmur from the moderators.

Seems like any attempt to smooth over the bumps and pot-holes of this forum with a non-contentious approach results in more controversy. But, yes, a PM may have been the advisable route to take, even though a message directed to one particular person may well also be helpful advice for others on the forum and it perhaps should be shared with the forum.Your view that calling a comrade "vindictive" is acceptable happens not to be shared by this moderator but the use of it was not expressing such extreme disrespect that it would warrant posting an official reminder. If in the past, moderators permitted uncomradely aspersions to be cast on other forum users, then you will acknowledge and appreciate that the moderators are now making efforts to end, or at least, minimise such exchanges.

So can members question mods decisions or not without receiving warnings and suspensions ??http://www.worldsocialism.org/spgb/forum/website-technical/moderators-decision-cde-marattys-indefinite-forum-ban?page=16#comment-34598 Maybe it is simply Consistency that is required?

The moderators were so biased in their approach they even let a particularly uncomradely aspersion made against themselves go unchallenged.

Yes SP but are you a Mod challenging a challenge against a Mod, or are you a forum member challenging a challenge against a Mod and does this make me a Forum member questioning a mod, challenging a mod, challenging a forum member, challenging a mod, or a forum member, questioning a forum member, challenging a forum member, challenging a Mod…….. at the court of King Caractacus

Message #6Is this really relevant to the case at point?Cde. Gnome took issue with my message which was posted to indicate that the OP had breached a rule which i did not deem too serious but sufficient for an action equivalent of a referee taking a player aside for a word.Gnome rightly pointed out that it should have been done by PM In retrospect, Gorachand may feel aggrieved a quiet word being so public. As for your demand for consistency, we are damned if we and damned if we aren't. I suggest you keep this thread to its topic – the WSP (India) minutes.

The moderator 2 is very democratic. Cde. Sarkar is a fellow member of the WSM and we cannot accept having aspersions cast upon his character on the forum. But Mr. Sarkar can do this because I am not a member of the WSM ? or the SPGB's EC members are not within the WSM ? I see the EC members of the SPGB has attacked in every minutes of the WSP(I). I expressed here a real fact, no problem if the moderator blocked me from this forum.

Is that right, SP?  Then be my guest and attempt to defend the other two moderators non-intervention on these occasions when "uncomradely aspersions" were made by one of their own wearing a different hat.http://www.worldsocialism.org/spgb/forum/world-socialist-movement/party-video-2016?page=15#comment-34067http://www.worldsocialism.org/spgb/forum/world-socialist-movement/party-video-2016?page=19#comment-34371
