Md. Tabrez Anwer’s papers were read and discussed. Despite his correct understanding about some of the questions he is mistaken on some basics; he is still holding on to some ongoing leftist-Leninist stuff. In the run of the meeting BS discussed with him over phone twice proposing that he should read into our INTRODUCTION and MANIFESTO to get hold of the correct understanding regarding World Socialism and rewrite his answers; and Comrade Anwer made a call back saying he will follow the suggestion. Simultaneously there were a few message correspondences in this regard. Comrade Anwer has agreed to resubmit his answers for consideration.

    Message correspondence via mobile phones:

    World Citizen

    Marxist & Rationalist

    Binay Sarkar: (at 12:54)

    Welcome comrade,

We’ll read and discuss your papers this evening in our EC meeting and decide about your membership. I’ll call you up in the run of the meeting.

    At 18:47 –

Comrade, I’m trying to get in touch with you over phone but unable to talk. Your answers to our questions are right on some cases while wrong on some other points. I’d like to suggest now read into the INTRODUCTION at our website to get the right answers. Also read our MANIFWSTO for some details. Then I can discuss with you.

    Md. Tabrez Anwer:

    Dear Sir,

I will rectify those wrong answers. You are the seniors to guide us. I have always a confusion in distinguishing among Marxism, Communism and Socialism. But I assure under your guidance I got them cleared and rectified. I will agree and abide by the principles, policies and objectives. What I wish is to translate them into action to establish Socialism to put an end to social and economic inequality and establish justice.

MSC: That we keep Comrade Tabrez Anwer’s membership question on hold until our next EC meeting before which we expect to receive his revised answers to our Questionnaire.

    Reports of Executives and Committees:

The collapse of Vivekananda road flyover in Kolkata (31/03/2016): It has caused a tragedy of a massive scale killing 27 people and leaving scores injured. Rescuers are doubtful of govt. death figures; they apprehend more casualties as many were trapped. This shows how corruption kills, profit motive kills, so capital kills.

    Advancement of the Movement:

[B,Sarkar and P. Singha are going on posting and interacting on Facebook timelines. Harisadhan Ghosh is writing letters and articles in Bengali which are being published in various Kolkata based Bengali dailies.]

    – Academia.edu (noreply-sessions@academia-mail.com) ;

They are displaying some 26 papers and 5 drafts uploaded by BS.

The World Socialist Party (India)_Discussion Forum and the website: http://www.worldsocialistpartyindia.org are attracting new contacts.

Facebook: Forum membership stands at 1,875

Sunday Discussion: Every Sunday in the evening we meet to read and discuss Marxian Economics and other selected subjects.

Literature: Party literature distribution is going on

Socialist Standard: April 2016 bulk packet arrived.

    Unfinished Business: None

New Business: ELECTIONs to the Assam, West Bengal, Kerala and Puduchery state Assemblies have been declares and scheduled by the Election Commission of India to be held phase wise during upcoming April and May 2016. However, our Party lacks both necessary minimum organization and wherewithal to effectively contest the elections. The Election Commission has arranged EVMs (Electronic Voting Machines) instead of ballot papers for voting. The machines will have a special NOTA (None Of The Above) button with an EC symbol at the bottom of the list with symbols of contestants. This provision has been made to facilitate those who would decline to vote for any candidate.

MSC: That we ask our members and supporters to go to the voting stations and cast their votes by pressing the NOTA button.
