According to a link in the latest bulletin of the Socialist Party of Canada, the centenary of this strike is to be celebrated in style in Winnipeg:

This wasn’t the case at the time as the State prosecuted and convicted for “seditious conspiracy” those it selected as its leaders, among them members of the Socialist Party of Canada including Bill Pritchard whose made a famous speech to the jury:

After a period as a reformist Bill Pritchard returned to being a socialist and was an active member of the World Socialist Party of the US until his death in 1981. He wrote this account and assessment of the strike in the Western Socialist on it 50th anniversary in 1969:
