Who the f**k is Pollin?

i'm not some economic or academic expert but usually i know some names even if i haven't ever read them so imagine my surprise when i read

So what claim has he to being not just USA's but all of NORTH America leading Marxist economists.

i take it from the lack of response that others on the thread are similarly in the dark about Pollin and this claim that he is North America's leading Marxist economist.

Yep I'm in the dark about Pollin. I thought Richard Wolff or David Harvey (teaches in NY) might have a claim.
