We should open a thread on Toilet, letrine, bidet and toilet cleaning. Where is this forum heading to ?

Now there’s an idea – I might just do that. I guarantee it’ll be more interesting and informative than many of the threads on this forum.

    Btw, it’s latrine.

Socialist man will…’hunt in the morning, fish in the afternoon, rear cattle in the evening, criticise after dinner’…and visit the lavvy before retiring.

So the working class are not allowed any interest in philosophy or science or aesthetics? – Almamater and Lizzie are just examples of old school anti-intellectualism.

One’s best thinking is done whilst on the throne.

Isn’t that the origin of a Privy Chancellor?

Intellectualism îs to go and see what other groups in the internet are talking about. They are talking about the real problems that the workers are facing in Africa, Asia, South America, Central America, Caribbean, Australia, the problem in Hawaii, they are talking about all the problem that mankind is facing around the world.( Intellectualism is reasoning ) What about the so called World Socialist Movement ? What about the so called Companion Parties ? What about the so called workers of the world unite ? That is one of the reason why we are falling apart and we are not reaching the world working class

We started a thread on the Communist Manifesto and nobody cares about it, we should be studying in this forum all the pamphlets that we have published about Historical and dialectical materialism, Rosa Luxembourg, Martov, Marxism, Leninism, and others ( by the way I translated them and I distributed them in the internet in English and Spanish in Facebook, Twitter, Groups IO, and now they are going to be published in Mastodon from Spain ) they are all based on reasoning.

Well, start threads on them then. They always do well here. Don’t criticise other threads you’ve no interest in.

Can’t speak for Almamater but if you consider being an astrophysicist and reasonably fluent in four languages examples of anti-intellectualism then please feel free to think so.

What’s your claim to fame, Andrew?

I am not rejecting the concept of materialism, I was talking about toilet. That’s all

Well, some members come to this forum once in a blue moon just to criticize others, while a few take time to participate constantly

PS Thanks for the correction, I had the word “Letrina” in my mind when I typed the message

Almanmater – fortunately you don’t get to decide what is discussed on this forum. We don’t all share your obsession with left wing politics.
Lizzie – then stop being a troll.

    Intellectualism

Culture is not academia, a person without academic knowledge has culture that will include an illiterate person and a peasant, and most peasants produce more wealths than many intellectuals

This is the only socialist organization that I have known in my entire life in the working class movement where members attack each others, and some ask members to leave. We can not afford the loss of one member, it is the opposite way, we are losing members, and we can not find members to take responsibilities

Yes, and here we return to the Higher Buddhism.

    To clarify:
There are two Buddhisms. One is the Higher Buddhism – a philosophy at least as old as Nagarjuna (look him up), and which can be comprehended in materialist terms (although it did not use the term). It is expressed in essays by the writer Lafcadio Hearn.

The other is the Buddhism we know as the religion – with reincarnation, transmigration, state collaboration, and all the religious baloney. Surprisingly, the Higher Buddhism came first, and by definition was never an option for wide dissemination and adoption by princes or emperors, or modern states.

When a Himalayan hermit told Alexandra David-Neel that reincarnation is bunk, that’s how we know he belonged to the Higher Buddhism.

To put it in a nutshell, in Higher Buddhism the cosmos is one, including us, and all distinctions such as “oneself” are for purposes of daily life in society. They have no reality in cosmic terms.
