    Agreed.

Well, *anti-Trump media* so position him, yes. But if you watch/read FOX or Newsmax it’s another story. You say he’s (anti-black) racist, and they come back with ‘Is that so? Then, what about his Platinum Program during his first term?’ And then there are all these Republican black congressmen (or other electees) oozing out of the pores that support him, not to mention the black reporters or anchors on Fox or Newsmax.

As for the anti-migrant thing, it is very easy to be taken in by it. Here is Bannon just after getting out of jail. Government encouragement of mass immigration as a deliberate policy to depress wages, especially of blacks and latinos. ‘The system is rigged against the working class […] we’re going to move past the politics of race with an intermediate stop in the politics of gender which is being forced
on everybody right now we’re going to get to what is important and that’s the politics of money’ etc. Amorphously pretty convincing stuff.

(You can stop listening at about 14:30 unless you want to hear him take questions from the press and go on about election-cheating and the like.)

If all Trump/Vance speeches had been written by Bannon, there’d have been no talk of illegal Haitians eating US-passport-carrying dogs and cats (among several other classic Trump statements) and they would have won by a much bigger margin than a mere 50.4% to 48% (so far, according to AP).

    “Wasn’t it always?”

Of course, oligarchic influence is nothing new. But what is perhaps new, or at least at a new level, is the extent to which social media echo-chambers and single-viewpoint alternative media outlets are skewing people’s perceptions. I’ve heard this cycle being described as “the podcast election”. But this is just a hunch, I don’t know what hard data would say – this is what people like Allan Lichtman will have to be working on.

When I wrote that there are no considerable differences between the Republicans & Democrats – I meant from a working class perspective.

When I wrote that Trump positions himself as a racist & xenophobe – I meant against Muslims & illegal immigrants.

I agree with Thomas More – US “democracy” has always been under the control of oligarchic power.

Well, Don Jr seems to have failed miserably. Marco Rubio!

    As to social media:

How some Harris-supporters deal with the shocking percentages of multi-ethnic votes for Trump ( see https://reason.com/2024/11/08/how-the-gop-became-a-more-multicultural-party )?

    Like this:

    https://www.middleeasteye.net/trending/us-elections-2024-muslims-arabs-face-baseless-attacks-social-media-harris-loss

And if that weren’t demonstrative enough, here’s a paragraph from an article on Jazeera.

‘This has prompted traumatised supporters of Vice President Kamala Harris, who had been handpicked to replace the unpopular, ageing incumbent, Joe Biden, to accuse American voters of racism to sexism. “It’s misogyny from Hispanic men, it’s misogyny from Black … who do not want a woman leading them,” insisted one TV anchor, adding that there “might be race issues with Hispanics that don’t want a Black woman as president of the United States.” The hateful tribal rhetoric has also included social media posts calling for any people of mixed race who failed to vote for Harris to be deported and for intensification of the genocide in Gaza due to Arab-American rejection of Harris over her support for the continued provision of weapons to the brutal apartheid state committing it.’

Finding people saying stupid things on social media is too easy.

As far as I know, there haven’t been any Democrats of note trying to claim that the vote was stolen or rigged against them. Or have I missed anything?

Quoted by a comrade in the US:

Always remember the data below on the 2024 election:

    245 million eligible voters
    76 million for Trump
    73 million for Harris
    2.5 million for third party

Trump got 31% of the vote.
Harris got 30% of the vote.
Millions of liberal/progressives did not vote.
This was not a Trump landslide.
It was a protest vote against Democrats (mostly inflation).

Well, Don Jr seems to have failed miserably. Marco Rubio!

    ———————————————————–

Marco Rubio is an old member of the Tea Party which was an institution more reactionary and more retrograde than the Republican Party but it is a branch of the Republican Party. ( some conspiracist called the Opium Party instead of Tea Party ) In Latin America he is known as Narco Rubio

    https://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tea_Party_movement

Marco Rubio is going to do in Latin America the same job that was done by Hillary Clinton, and other US Secretary of State and ambassadors

Personality like him are not very welcome in Latin America including the right wingers, and the left wingers hate anti Cuba personalities and he will continue with the same old litany about communist Cuba

Juan Bosh wrote: The president of the country is seating at the American embassy, but those days are already gone with the presence of China and Russia in Latin America who also want to take over the US backyard.

The Brazilian government wants to take Bolsonaro to jail and to be legally processed for state crime, money laundering and attempted assassination to president Lula

He is not going to be able to prove another coup in Venezuela, or Brazil, or try to promote another invasion to Venezuela because it might become another Vietnam, right wingers have sufficient support from the workers to take control of the state

Hillary Clinton participated in the coup against Zelaya in Honduras, ( to avoid the expansion of Venezuela toward Panama ) and the coup against Aristides in Haiti, he was forced to resign and to leave the country and Obama was part of that coup. The gangs on the street of Haiti are remnants of the old Tonton Macoute created by the US government

Before the Democratic took over the votes of the Afro American the Republican Party had control of the black and it was mentioned my Malcom x on one of his speeches

votes, and both had control of both houses and they never passed any progressive reforms for the black peoples.

All the reforms proclaimed by Kamala Harris could have been passed by Obama when he had control control of both houses and he did not do it, they were not going to run out of ammunitions for the next elections

Ronald Regan was the Republican president that provided an amnesty for the undocumented workers and for all the political refugees.

The old days to kick ass are gone

I do not think that the votes of Latinos, Arabs and Asian toward the Republicans was not so big as they are mentioning, most of them voted for the Democratic Party, as well most women voted for Kamala Harris,

In this election there was a big absentee of voters on both sides and it was more on the side of the democrats, and the polls were correct that it was a close race, in reality Tump only obtained between 25-33% it is not a mandate as they are saying, voters did not vote against Harris because she was a woman and she was of “mixed races” Obama obtained more votes than her and he is mixed too.

The reality is that Trump did a much better snake oil salesman job than the democrats, he did not say that the problem of the workers were due to capitalism but he used the failures of the democrats in order to win the votes of the workers, the right wings populists are using the same tactic all over the earth

The first opposition that Trump is going to encounter is going to be the US congress even that he has control of both house because they know that this his is last term and they do not want to loose their jobs on the next partial elections, and his followers are going to make opposition to him too because he is not going to be able to fulfill all his promises.

Trump is not going to establish fascism as the left-wingers are saying they are shouting the same old stalinist and trotskyist old fascist scare, they did it in Chile with the so called post fascism and now they are making alliance with the so called fascists

WHY HE WON AND WHAT HE WILL DO

This is a fair analysis made by a left communist group. The Internationalist Perspective. In their prior article on Donald Trump they have said that the US ruling class was not willing to support Trump anymore, but it looks that they were mistaken because a great portion of the US capitalist class supported him . It is much better than the left-wingers lesser evil concept and the Trumpism of the Marxist Humanists

Marco Rubio is going to continue the same legacy of George Bush, Barack Obama, Donald Trump and Joe Biden. He was one of the senate that motivated to impose heavy sanctions on Venezuela and Cuba. They preached about isolation but at the same time they are intervencionists . The border of the USA does not stop in Mexico, it continues all the down south to Tierra del Fuego

None has said anything about yet but the opinion is that American workers think that the electoral system is broken

Americans Agree Election System Is Broken

The electoral college is a vestige of the slavery system. In other countries Trump and Harris would be forced to go into a second round because they did not obtain the majority of the voters

Probably he has cut the wings to those Warhawks because his father new cabinet is composed of Warhawks, warmongers, lobbyists , vultures, and zionists. They are saying that his father cabinet was selected by Ellon Musk, the biggest contributors of this election were Bill Gates and Ellon Musk. The Vice President JD Vance has vanished

Trump’s cabinet picks are cast of vultures

    President Elon Musk?

This kind of reminds me of the Republic of Gilead in The Handmaid’s tale – only its real-life Murica (shortly to be) run by those billionaire buddies, Trump and Musk.

    https://news.sky.com/story/i-wouldnt-call-it-eugenics-as-such-how-elon-musks-views-might-influence-donald-trumps-family-policies-13261496?dicbo=v2-hk8rm7k

What is it with these right-wing nationalists with their obsession with America´s supposed population decline and wanting to turn women into broodmares? If Trump and Musk are so concerned about America’s population decline why threaten to boot out illegal immigrants? They should be opening the doors to all and sundry and encouraging more immigration if they are that concerned – surely?

Musk was recently going on about how new technology is gonna make the workers superfluous and we will all be living on UBI. So why is he so worried about depopulation? What’s the hidden agenda?

The white population of the USA is getting old and they can not have any more children, and there is a shortage of agricultural and constructions workers and some of those skilled are learned in the field,or thru family traditions and the Mexicans in particular are expert in agriculture, farming, carpentry and masonry.

There were two towns in the Northeast where all the emigrants workers left and the whole towns collapsed all business had to be closed, it is like trying to deport the Haitians who have revived the factories and the business of that place, it was like a ghost town. They are not eating cats and dogs, they are working hard in low pay jobs and most of them are young workers

In Puerto Rico there are ghost towns and businesses have been closed because most of the working population have left and only the retiree are staying or coming back and the prices of real estate have dropped drastically and before it was an industrialized island and the factories were relocated, and there was a large emigration from South America and the Caribbean island toward the island and some of them emigrated to New York

In California Napa Valley is kept alive due to the works performed by the agricultural workers who are producing the commodities for the wine and food industry, if they leave the whole economy will collapse and tourism will collapse too and most of those expensive restaurants and hotels are going to be closed, and most of the hotels workers ( doing part time jobs ) are foreign workers
