June 15, 2020 at 9:50 am #203964alanjjohnstoneKeymasterBut where do people learn about capitalism – from experiences and interaction with it.
We brought up to believe that the police and the State are neutral arbitrators. The protests and demonstrations tell us differently.
June 15, 2020 at 12:20 pm #203969AnonymousInactiveBut then, the same anti-racist, feminist, animalist (less so) and other reformist protesters will demand “equal right to join and get promotion in the armed forces”, “equal rights in business”, “fair competition”, etc., and all that pro-capitalist junk.

June 16, 2020 at 4:49 am #203998AnonymousInactiveThe abolition of slavery was not a fight against racism. This is a series of six episodes. Whoever wants to understand the real history of the USA must read the books written by Gerald Horne, and whoever wants to understand the period of Colonialism and the struggles of the natives must read the books written by Francis Jennings, and Juan Bosh debunks all the myth about Christopher Columbus and the colonial period of the USA and all the Americas

June 16, 2020 at 5:09 am #204001AnonymousInactiveMost USA historians never write about the widespread of anti catholicism within the whole USA territory, but Gerald Horne is one of the few historians who cover that historical time, which negates the whole things about the so-called religious freedom and diversity of religious belief, protestants wanted one religion like the catholic wanted one official religion in Latin America. The whole official historical narratives about the USA is a total myth, something similar to Homer Greek mythology
June 16, 2020 at 5:17 am #204002AnonymousInactiveAngela Davis says that she studied Marxism, but the type of Marxism that she learned sound more like a social democrats point of view, and she has not moved away from focusing the whole problems of the USA within the concept of racism, it was also the main focus of Malcolm X, and he was a black nationalist which in some way it did not differ too much from white nationalism
June 16, 2020 at 5:23 am #204003AnonymousInactiveThere is also a black bourgeoise class in the USA which also owns means of productions and extract surplus value from the labour of others human beings, they are the ones who were promoting Joe Biden along with the black protestants pastors
June 16, 2020 at 5:41 am #204005AnonymousInactiveThere is another nationalist movement within the Mexican Americans in the USA ( Chicanos movement ) known as the reconquest of Aztlan, or to recover the South West territory taken by the USA during the war against Mexico
June 16, 2020 at 7:33 am #204006AnonymousInactiveAlso, in the American colonies from the 17th century, the death penalty was agreed by all as the punishment for atheism.
Tom Paine was not forgiven for his deist The Age of Reason, and was persecuted until his death by the same colonists for whom he alone (not Washington & Co!) had urged independence. He was also the one solitary voice among his former comrades in arms for the abolition of slavery.
