Exactly. As Clause 8 of our Declaration of Principles puts it:

    Quote:
The Socialist Party of Great Britain, therefore, enters the field of political action determined to wage war against all other political parties, whether alleged labour or avowedly capitalist, and calls upon the members of the working class of this country to muster under its banner to the end that a speedy termination may be wrought to the system which deprives them of the fruits of their labour, and that poverty may give place to comfort, privilege to equality, and slavery to freedom.

Sad that some members want to muck about with the wording of this fine, rousing historical statement. Of course everything and anything is up for discussion but, hopefully, they will get the same response as to their attempt last year to abandon the publication of the Socialist Standard.

I looked up the ISBN (7300073182) and it comes up with a 381 page book in Chinese language from 2006 with the same title. There is this page http://www.worldsocialism.org/english/introducing-world-socialist-movement but that wouldn't translate into 381 pages. Is it a translation of Wikipedia articles?

I've sent a message to the seller on eBay asking if they have any further details about the book.

Stan Parker put together a collection of articles under that title produced on our photocopier but it wasn't 381 pages.

Just looked up the author and it's nothing to do with us. The present Chinese government might be embarrassed too. See here.

The phrase 'world socialist movement' is used without reference to us I suppose and possibly this could be more prevalent in languages other than English.

We should not let this person use the name of the World Socialist Movement in order to produce profits. We should send a message to Amazon and eBay. The Socialist Party of Canada was forced to change its because they were using the same  name of another socialist group

Unless you're talking about 'Socialist Party of Canada' (est. 1904) vs 'The Socialist Party of Canada' (est. 1931) I think you're thinking of WSPUS.

Yes, at some point, the WSPUS changed its name from "Workers Socialist Party" to "World Socialist Party". Not sure when.

I have no personal objection to the sale of these flags with our logo on them, I doubt the seller is going to retire to the Maldives on the money made from the sales either. However the question arises, is it a breach of our copyright? and as we are now clearly aware of it, could it impact on that copyright if we do not challenge it?Rather than stop any sales, should we contact the seller and ensure they acknowledge our copyright and as a gesture of good faith send us a couple so we could fly them outside HO?

I thought the flag was a photoshop. Is it actually for sale? Can a link be provided here?

    That's correct
