Minutes of the General Administrative Committee Meeting, June 2012
Present: Ron Jenkins, Steve Shannon, John Ayers, John Ames, Mercedes Martinson, Tom Coles, Philippe-Antoine Cormier
Meeting conducted via email
Communication:
– WSPNZ executive committee meeting notes for April
– One request for an introductory package
– One request for a New Member questionnaire.
Good of Movement:
– The Spring issue of Imagine has been produced and sent out
– Meetings of the Toronto local – video night at the library, coffee shop meeting, and street sale of socialist literature. All met with limited success that provoked a discussion of how to proceed.
Discussion
– Finding a new source for putting together Imagine to reduce costs. Mercedes has offered to look into trying the task. Many thanks.
– Promoting socialism – 1. Large fundraiser with hall, music, speaker etc. At this time we do not have the concentration of members in any one area to pull this off, but a good idea to consider for the future. 2. Produce a video for YouTube. This is already in hand as Erich in Toronto is ready to have a go with the help of the rest of us here.
