July 30, 2017 at 9:03 pm #129043AnonymousInactiveVin a comrade in WSPUS, I don't want to put his name up here, said ," We like the video — it's very well done — and would like to use it over here in the US. The hitch is that it refers twice to "the Socialist Party." Would it be a lot of trouble to produce a generic version referring instead to "the World Socialist Movement"?

Would it be a lot of trouble to produce a generic version referring instead to "the World Socialist Movement"?It would require a new voiceover (cost) and the SPGB Logo and contact details changed (I can do that). So it is doable. Have you a link to the their facebook?NB On second thoughts, they would get away with the existing voiceover as it does not refer to the SPGB
July 31, 2017 at 6:22 pm #129045AnonymousInactiveA number of left wing Facebook groups have liked and shared the video. 2.9k views so far

However, having given it some thought, it occured to me that I would be taking a video that belonged to the SPGB, applying edits and offering it free to companion parties. As I say, I have no problem with this and I can do the work required but does it require approval of the SPGB first?
August 1, 2017 at 8:44 pm #129047AnonymousInactiveThat is a good one. It hadn't crossed my mind. I was of course, just asking about the feasiblity of it. It was just one comrade and not a request from the WSPUS. I would imagine they would feel need to approve of it and probably would do so. But there you go.It just hadn't crossed my mind.

August 4, 2017 at 9:25 am #129050AnonymousInactiveI have elicited this response. Can't be a bad thing and may lift our profile. Perhaps we should share more with Momentum
August 5, 2017 at 12:01 pm #129054AnonymousInactive5k combined views in a week, but only 1.5k on youtube. I am a little disappointed at that. It needs to be better presented with something like"More and more people are beginning to see capitalism and it's extreme inequalities as indefensible but can see no alternative. This video sends out a clear message that there is an alternative to Capitalism"Watch
