InactiveComrades,
The new party video is set to publish this Friday at 12pm simultaneously on both Facebook and Youtube. Please spread the word so we can have a mass of views, comments and shares during the first hours of it going on line. This will help with it's ranking and visibility. The Youtube channel is at:Facebook page is:Thanks,Darren PoyntonJuly 28, 2017 at 2:11 pm #129029Anonymous
InactiveDoes a view on the Facebook link register as a Youtube view? If not then wouldn't it be better to share the Youtube link?Could it be shared on LibCom and Revleft?

Ideally the facebook should have been a link to youtube, we would have had 1600 Youtube veiws. Also the 'thumbnail' should be changed as the one being used was discarded because of the pink haze, a technical fault with the software. This is the one later agreed with a few others. The preferred one A Post-Capitalist Society.

InactiveI see the video is increasing daily on Youtube and elsewhere, so it is a successful launch of a 3.20 short intro. I sent it to various journalists and celebs until Twitter began to see me as a robot, but Andrew Neil stuck it up on his own feed with a short negative comment, which I responded to, but I have had a couple of dozen of the usual negative responses, (human nature Russia, Venezuela) which allowed me to go into combat mode and put direct links onto our website. It is only 24 hours up, so I am very pleased indeed and we can hone our efforts with some real intellgence to study for the future targetting of our efforts and so on..

ParticipantQuote:Ideally the facebook should have been a link to youtubeWell no. The Facebook algorithm prefers videos that are uploaded on Facebook, you do get more exposure on Facebook by using a Facebook video. The point is to get as many views in total as possible, not to get as many views solely on YouTube..

ParticipantI thought the video was very well put together – it's clear and concise, and the graphics help get our message across. Well done to all concerned!

InactiveThe video can be promoted using Twitter; Facebook and Youtube. Who would be responsible for this? Which committee needs to make the request to the EC to underake such a campaign? The sooner the better as far as I am concerned

I think an urgent email from the AVC to the Assistant Secretary this weekend (or what's left of it) for inclusion on next Saturday's EC agenda should suffice.Combined views of the video are now hovering around the 2.5k mark.
