He is like Donald Trump who knows more than the Generals. The US Congress is already passing a bill which will provide more modern weapons to the Ukranian government before the new house of representative takes over

I mean that TS knows more about military strategy than the general. I don’t think that NATO/USA, Ukraine, and Russia want to start another European war. Donald Trump was an expert on everything, and knowleagable on nothing and he said that he knew more than the generals and he did not even know how to handle a water pistol, and he ditched going to the vietnman war, there are bunch of keyboard warriors supporting wars, and national liberation, but they do not dare to go to any war

Of course, the just war fantasists would tell us that civilian infrastructure is outside war and a war crime to hit, but here the Russians can define it as a military target as indirectly related to military use (and doubtless NATO hit similar targets in Serbia all those years ago).
But, note the headline “Special operation does not depend on weather conditions” it’s just a freak accident that “millions of Ukrainian citizens who remained without electric and thermal power supply on November 15 due to combat operations at a time when weather forecasts predicted lower air temperatures” and of course “Peskov said that this was a result of strikes on military infrastructure due to Kiev’s reluctance to conduct negotiations with Russia.” The cry of the bully through the ages.

My guess is Zelensky is playing to his home audience. Certainly, the Kremlin apologists are making hay over the fact that he won’t even entertain the possibility that it was a Ukrainian missile that came down.

The electrical grid is not indirectly related to military use it is directly related to military use. Ukraine’s trains run on electricity. To stop them transporting troops and war material around the country the Russians must cut the power.
Will that make life difficult for the civilian population? Very much so but it will also shorten the war. A shorter war means fewer civilian casualties.
Russia did not start this war Ukraine/NATOstan did. As with any side that starts a war all the horrors that result are their direct responsibility.

Even if the claim to be a pre-emptive war is accurate, it is still illegal under international law.
