"As to human nature etc if you brutalise human beings enough they will tend to become monsters themselves."And who is brutalising human beings? Other human beings…
October 20, 2016 at 6:06 pm #122598AnonymousInactiveThe US and the British government they are always freezing and blocking the assets of others countries like they are owners of the universe, and they are always opening military bases to surround others countries or region. Can anybody imagine the Russian placing troops in New York and what would happen ? The US government is placing troops near the borders of RussiaWhen the Russian placed a missiles base on Cuba there was a threat of an atomic confrontation between the Soviet Union and the US .The whole island of Puerto Rico was a military base used as catapult to invade others countries in Latin America, and the Island of Vieques and Culebra are used for military practice and most of the faunas of the island is in mutation.Several countries around the world have an embargo placed by the USA such as Cuba, Korea and Venezuela. Who the hell has given them the right to do that ?Saint Ronald Reagan said that the island of Grenada was a threat to the US and they send troops to that small island, and they froze all their assets. How can it be a threat an island who did not have an airport ? They only had Machetes and kitchen knife

Other human beings…Well, if you check human history before the appearance of classic slavery you will see a period of cooperation among human being, and a longer period of peace and harmony than our present historical period. Islamic, Christians, and Jews lived for more than 900 years in peace and harmonyI can not agree with your pessimism about mankind because I have seen different examples thru my life. There are thousands of peoples working in the hospitals as volunteer helping others human beings.Human nature is not social Darwinism. I do not think that your personal frustration, or suffering is not the frustration and suffering of all mankind.I grew up with Salesian, Jesuits, and La Salle Brothers, and we were never sexually molested by them, therefore, I can not say that all those priests were corrupted or sexual abusers, an that statement is from an atheist

I It is s slap on the face to the Latin American left wingers and the followers of the so called Socialism of the XXI Century.Maybe next step would be to ask him to leave the embassy, or to give him in a silver platter to the European authority.Every day we see more suppression and elimination of certain civil liberties, and then, they are talking about Adolf Hitler and the Nazis

March 12, 2018 at 2:01 am #122604Dave BParticipanti RT’s was accused of falsely claiming that the BBC participated in a staged ‘chemical’ weapon attack. And was criticised by Ofcom for it being unbalanced? Which attracted a lot of publicity eg in the Guardian. The video details of RT’s claim are at the link below. https://www.globalresearch.ca/the-bbc-saving-syrias-children-documentary-staged-events-fake-video-footage/5470158 I suppose it is up to the individual to make up their minds if there was any justification in suspecting that the event was staged and that the BBC participated in it. RT gives a platform to the critics of ‘western’ capitalism. And no doubt they ‘foam with sullen rage over it’. I think, for the same reasons as Karl, we should pay attention to it. Karl Marx. Capital Volume One Chapter Twenty-Five: The General Law of Capitalist Accumulation ……..On the other hand, the industrial bourgeoisie foamed with sullen rage at the denunciations of the factory system by the landed aristocracy, at the pretended sympathy with the woes of the factory operatives, of those utterly corrupt, heartless, and genteel loafers, and at their “diplomatic zeal” for factory legislation. It is an old English proverb that “when thieves fall out, honest men come by their own,” and, in fact, the noisy, passionate quarrel between the two fractions of the ruling class about the question, which of the two exploited the labourers the more shamefully, was on each hand the midwife of the truth. Earl Shaftesbury, then Lord Ashley, was commander-in-chief in the aristocratic, philanthropic, anti-factory campaign. He was, therefore, in 1845, a favourite subject in the revelations of the Morning Chronicle on the condition of the agricultural labourers. This journal, then the most important Liberal organ, sent special commissioners into the agricultural districts, who did not content themselves with mere general descriptions and statistics, but published the names both of the labouring families examined and of their landlords……. https://www.marxists.org/archive/marx/works/1867-c1/ch25.htm
March 12, 2018 at 4:54 am #122605alanjjohnstoneKeymasterI'm no fan of RT as previous posts on this thread would show. But what i was drawing attention to is the hypocrisy of politicians, in particular, Labour. We already had Iran's Press TV driven from European satellite/cable network for its admittedly biased reportsBut as for any claim of the "balanced" view of the BBC News, you got to laugh. And i have lost all respect for the Guardian's "objective" reporting.
