In his SF ‘Culture’ novels, Iain M. Banks had a type of warship called the Psychopath Class, however, reality manages to outdo him:

The two battles of Fallujah were fought in 2004 during the Iraq War. The first, occurring in April, was an effort to kill or capture insurgents thought to be responsible for the deaths of four U.S. contractors. The second, in November and December, was a U.S. attempt to retake control of Fallujah, according to the Navy announcement.”

The city was destroyed, thousands of Iraqis died, that is what they are memorialising.

They name attack helicopters after native tribes who were on the wrong end of genocidal attack. Apache, Black Hawk and Comanche. Chomsky mused that if the Luftwaffe named theirs Jew and Gypsy people might notice.
