What actually Happened in Bristol – and How a Narrative is Built
Yes, thanks for this link.
I got a similar story about the arrival of the riot cops and setting of the dogs as the spark.
March 23, 2021 at 11:08 am #215888DJPParticipantIs this the same group as was active in the 1990s in various attempts to stop motorways and by-passes being built (all of which failed)? We even debated with them.
No. That group doesn’t exist anymore and hasn’t for a long time. This new group is called reclaim *these* streeets.
March 25, 2021 at 6:44 pm #216037alanjjohnstoneKeymasterStart of the lies being exposed
“a total of 20 officers were assaulted or injured and two of them were taken to hospital after suffering broken bones. One of them also suffered a punctured lung,”
No broken bones. No punctured lung.
“…There were a lot of protesters that were hurt as well, people were pepper-sprayed, people were battered by the police. No one was talking about that.”
Meanwhile schools being policed

Tory Government is taking away the right to protest in Britain!
Johnson: “Freedom to speak out in opposition to abuse is fundamental and I stand firmly with them.”
Uighurs: PM ‘stands firmly’ with MPs and Britons after China sanctions

The MPs and other British citizens sanctioned by China today are performing a vital role shining a light on the gross human rights violations being perpetrated against Uyghur Muslims.
Freedom to speak out in opposition to abuse is fundamental and I stand firmly with them.

March 27, 2021 at 8:36 pm #216187alanjjohnstoneKeymasterThe follow-up demonstration and the accompanying police violence
March 28, 2021 at 9:15 am #216204alanjjohnstoneKeymasterMichael Barton who was head of crime operations for policing nationally, and chief constable of Durham constabulary until 2019, plus another former senior policing leader, Sir Peter Fahy, warned that new protest laws move Britain dangerously in the direction of “paramilitary policing” and that UK ministers are “flexing their muscles via their police forces” like repressive regimes around the world.
March 31, 2021 at 3:00 pm #216413james19ParticipantMaybe Priti Patel knows, it is Statues today……It will be Capitalism that is toppled next.
People are posting videos about protests in Bristol, many saying well done the police….. ad nauseam.
Revealed: the grim list of sex abuse claims against Metropolitan police
The force upheld 119 cases among 600 complaints; they included an officer who was sacked after having sex with a rape victim

March 31, 2021 at 3:34 pm #216415james19ParticipantNo racism in UK says Government body…..
https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMeyTvd4t/March 31, 2021 at 7:05 pm #216417alanjjohnstoneKeymasterThe official policing inspectorate showed repeated bias in favour of the police and against peaceful protesters as it compiled a report which backed a government clampdown, a whistleblower has alleged.
The complainant says a report on protest released in March this year was skewed in favour of the government view, with conclusions reached before evidence was gathered and assessed.
April 2, 2021 at 2:32 pm #216497james19ParticipantThe former home secretary David Blunkett has said the police, crime, sentencing and courts bill risks making the UK “more like Putin’s Russia”
“Tolerating dissent and protest is a British value, and it’s central to our democracy. It’s ironic that this bill would mean far harsher treatment for protesters in Parliament Square, where statues commemorate Mandela and Gandhi, leaders of historic disruptive, noisy and annoying protest movements now taught in British schools.”
——Reading posts calling Hong Kong
demonstrators heroes fighting Chinese riot police….…while in Bristol, demonstrators are thugs and criminals, people calling for police to be immediately armed and use them….

April 6, 2021 at 6:50 pm #216656james19ParticipantLast night I was watching a Kill The Bill demonstration posted on TiK Tok. I then scanned the comments, to see and like the positive posts. They were 300+ posts, usually read the latest ones. I saw a post near the foot of the page, unlike all the other posts, it wasn’t bunched up? No identity as to who’d ‘crafted’ the post other than they looked new, having not made a video or bothered to make their page private?
Quote: “They should bring back the SPG that would sort them out”.
It hadn’t been ❤️ (Liked)
So, someone, my guess is that it is a retiree cop*, is advocating demonstrators to be hit over the head, in other words murdered, with a metal cosh? Who would bring this up, someone with a knowledge of the case…a serving police officer? It’s not something you’d bring up at the dinner table? Who’d joke (or not) about it, an ex SPG officer?
* The abuse Dawn Butler MP, David Lammy MP and Diane Abbott MP was given on Facebook, from people too old to be serving police officers, too young to be claiming state pension, from their face pictures, mostly overweight caused possibly from working unsociable hours? Was disgusting! Irony is lost on idiots, who would than lecture someone for showing their lack of respect for police! You couldn’t make it up….oh wait.

Covid failings, crackdown on protest, police discrimination and resumed arms trade with Saudi Arabia all listed in annual reportAmnesty International has published a stark rebuke of the UK government’s stance on human rights, saying that it is “speeding towards the cliff edge” in its policies on housing and immigration, and criticising its seeming determination to end the legal right for the public to challenge government decisions in court.
