March 26, 2021 at 4:30 pm #216091ALBKeymasterAll of the articles in the Socialist Standards of 1920-23 and 1927-29 are now online. Also those from February-May and December 1925 and from March-June and August and September 1926.
This was the decade of the industrial unrest after WW1, the General Strike, the first Labour Government and the development of state capitalism in Russia. Also recorded are the reformism of the ILP and the antics of the CPGB. Nationalisation is exposed as a fraud from a working class point of view. For Marxist theory in English, apart from Engels, members had to rely on Plekhanov and Lafargue.
The articles can be found here.
April 5, 2021 at 3:18 pm #216603ALBKeymasterThe whole of April 1942 is now on line here.
Including this article by Hardy:
Post war trade. Another scheme to save capitalism.

May 12, 2021 at 8:48 am #217828ALBKeymasterThe whole of the contents of the Socialist Standards of the 1920s are now online on this site, here:
This is the decade of the post-WW1 industrial discontent, the first Labour government and the Geneal Strike. Also, the developmen of state capitalism in Russia and the antics of the early “Communist” Party. Fascinating.
No-one reading these can conclude that the Party is against trade union action. There are many detailed articles urging wokers to resist and not trust union leaders. That lie/myth must date from a later decade.
