NEITHER WASHINGTON NOR MOSCOW!, i always thought was the IS/Cliff invention during the Korean War.
Seems like a lot of things, it was stolen from others.

The term "state capitalism" was in use even before the First World Slaughter, as by Kropotkin, Wilhelm Liebknecht and, again, us (even before Cliff was born):http://www.worldsocialism.org/spgb/socialist-standard/1910s/1910/no-68-april-1910/evolution-and-state-capitalism

Their objection was that planned production was socialism, but the capitalist can also plan certain aspects of their economic https://www.marxists.org/archive/cliff/works/1955/statecap/ch06.htmhttps://www.marxists.org/archive/dunayevskaya/works/1942/russian-economy/ch01.htmAnarchists and state capitalismhttps://theanarchistlibrary.org/library/murray-bookchin-state-capitalism-in-russia

Only a militant socialist programme and policy can provide an answer to both. Not by rejecting Marxism but by basing itself on its fundamental tenets can the labour movement in Britain solve the problems of our time -
