On the bizarre phenomenon of certain market-libertarians supporting Trump:https://reason.com/2024/11/04/the-peculiar-phenomenon-of-libertarians-supporting-donald-trump

Both articles from the US market-libertarian magazine ‘Reason’.

I have heard some wage slaves saying: “I am middle class and you are working class” , in practical term it means that the middle class does not work and the working class does all the work, therefore, the middle class is parasite and does not produce any wealth, It does sound like the old classical Greek society where the slaves did all the work and the nobles never worked

This capitalist society has created too many fetish, and sadly many workers believe that kind of nonsenses, but during the crisis of 2008 thousands of so called members of the middle were making lines to collect unemployment, medical protection, food stamps, filing for bankruptcy proceeding, giving away their beautiful cars, losing their mortgaged homes and credit cards, which means, that they were also members of the working class, some capitalists did not anything, on the contrary, they earn more wealth.

In this particular election in the USA some members of the capitalist class increased their wealths drastically, and the so called middle class and working class became poorer and did not increase their wealth because they do not own anything, just their labor force, and many are getting old

Now the American society is divided between Liberals and Conservatives, the concept of class has been totally eliminated, and the concept of class struggle is taboo. The historian Howard Zinn wrote that the class struggle in the USA has been completely hidden, and the concept of wage slavery or wage slave is an offense, but the concept of wage slave was used in 1836 in Massachussetts by women working in textiles factories
