Now, one of the stats on that page is: "6.1 million people in working housholds are in poverty" interestingly, I heard a similar stat on Question Time last night, as a pannelist presented as a good thing tjhat a higher percentage of the bottom two income deciles are now in work. An interesting case of the slipperness of statistics, for her this was an improvement in their lot, but it could equally be, as per the TUC, a siogn that working is not as live improving as politiocians like to pretend.
