    Quote:
We found out that, not surprisingly, a higher bonus increases productivity, but so does introducing a donation. In particular, when a charitable donation is present, performance increases by an average of 13%, regardless of whether the donation is linked to productivity or not. This rises to 30% amongst those workers who are initially the least productive. For these workers the increase in productivity arising from a charitable donation cannot actually be distinguished from the effect of an equally costly increase in the bonus.

So much for the question of incentive in socialism, here we have it, people are more willing to work if they're compensation includes charitable giving.  As the article notes:

    Quote:
Data from a survey of 261 leading US companies, including 62 of the largest 100 companies in the Fortune 500 list, reveals they contributed more than $25 billion in total giving in 2013, equivalent to around 1% of pre-tax profits, or more than $600 per employee. With that kind of commitment they’d better hope there is an effect on their employees.

Of course, charity is power, and the giving of top companies is to areas they control, democratic control of that wealth is anathema.  But, the point is, people always ask, where is the incentive to work in socialism without wages, and here we see if there is some poijnt, and end to the work, other than the simple enrichment of the boss, people will work.

The workers' morality is based on these principles1. Don't be a burden!2. Be independent!3.Strive to be equal and be counted!4. Be practical!5. Learn and improve! This is what the economic condition tells them to do, as the wage becomes lower and lower and the prices of commodities becomes higher and higher, the more they will cling to those principles. I don't think that charity will have a place in the workers household anytime soon. Unless the workers are being forced to accept the morality coming from the church that is in order to be called "good" you must adopt the principles of saints and martyrs, but I guess this why ordinary workers look "bad". Morality is what being human is all about, the Church has its own morality and the workers has its own. sardaan Ordinarian

Capitalist secretly applies the same 5 basic principles by covering  them with hypocrisy.Workers removed that hypocrisy but just honestly apply the principles.Who do you trust?sardaan Ordinarian
