London Anarchist Bookfair will be on 18th October 2014 10am at Queen Mary’s University of London, Mile End Road, London, E1 4NS same as last year.

If you are coming by public transport the following buses stop near the college on Mile End Road: 25, 205, 339. If you are coming by tube, the two nearest stations are Mile End (Central line / Hammersmith & City line or District line) or Stepney Green (Hammersmith & City line or District line).

As I said in the other thread, I think it's a shame the organisers didn't allow the SPGB to have a stall. I shall come and see you outside (and the ICC too who have also been refused a stall).

No need really.  Not everyone will be going to Blackfriars and some of those who do will join up with others in Mile End later.

This seems an interesting meeting to go to for those going to the Anarcho-Fair rather than the TUC march:https://critisticuffs.org/events/london-anarchist-bookfair-2014/elections/

More than one attendee was angry that we were shut out when leninists and reformists were allowed in.and the Catholic workers got a meeting "Christ and the class struggle"!!

Yes indeed.  Despite the determined efforts of the organisers of this year's Anarchist Bookfair to not only deny the Party a stall inside the building but to ensure it did not have one anywhere near the fair's entrance, comrades finally decided to move off the Queen Mary's University premises entirely and set up the stall on Mile End Road outside its west entrance.Notwithstanding the above, a fairly successful day with £16.70 of literature sold and plenty more given away.Other members attended the TUC Mass Demonstration & Rally, both at its starting point on the Thames embankment and at its destination in Hyde Park where there was another stall.Altogether 13 comrades spread themselves between the three locations.
