I notice the constituency MP for this event venue is a Tory (a party whose record on mining needs no introduction) with a 6,000 majority. Will the propaganda address this as the Corbyn topic suggests a meme image attacking Corbyn whose constituency is in North London will be given prominence.

Your grandmother probebly doesn't need lessons on how to suck eggs !  The branch's propaganda, as always, aims to target all other political parties, whether allegedly labour or avowedly capitalist, while attempting to remain as topical as possible.  With this in mind we will be drawing particular attention to the Labour leadership contest and explaining why a Corbyn-led Labour government will not be able to administer capitalism in any other way than against the interests of the working class.

A well-stocked and well-presented lit stall.I'm pleased to read that the branch took it upon themselves to produce a re-print of the Miners Strike. How long a request to the publications committee would take, i'd hate to guess. Its local themed cover brings a community-feel to the branch's activities. The saying is "Patience and perseverance have a magical effect before which difficulties disappear and obstacles vanish". But as an Edinburgh member puts it "patience and perseverence can piss a hole through any stone".

Five members and supporters attended this event and despite a rather damp and dismal start several items of literature were sold, including four current Standards plus five copies of the branch's re-print of the "Lessons of the Miners' Strike" pamphlet. Other literature was given away and a number of amicable conversations held.
