Here's Peter Taaffe, the Leader of SPEW, abandoning their policy of up to now of trying to form a Labour Party Mark 2 in favour of a renewed Labour Party Mark 1. He even calls for SPEW to be affiliated to it (fat chance of that), but still suggests that SPEW will be putting up candidates against Labour through its front organisation TUSC. But how long will that inconsistent position last?http://www.socialistparty.org.uk/videosAnd here's (7 minutes) Nick Wrack, of the ISN (a minor constituent of TUSC), putting a case for not going overboard about Corbyn and into the Labour Party:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y2jH3kCeIQkSome of the points he makes are what we do.

This page is relevent:http://l-r-c.org.uk/news/story/contemporary-motions-for-lp-conference/McDonnell is the Chair of the LRC, and it's basically his vehicle in the Labour party: having an organised faction in place in advance will be useful.

    Quote:
    4. To achieve this, Labour economic policy should focus on directing state investment to stimulate growth and create jobs. Labour should draw up real plans to increase investment and present a credible alternative framework to the Tories’ austerity. 5. Areas to prioritise investment should include: housing, infrastructure and green energy. 6. Improving government revenue due to economic growth, not cutting public spending and austerity, is the way to cut the deficit.

We can assume that this represents McDonnellism (though it doesn't spell out how this investment is to be stimulated).

Just read on Facebook that the Islington North constituency labour party now has 5000 members and that the Hackney North CLP has 4000 members.wow, just wow is my only response at this point.

Hmmm??….Just how will they cope with the AGM and election of branch officials….How will they turn paper members into active members? But certainly they surely must be now thinking about reviving the traditional Labour Club for the bevvyingBut on a serious note , can we see all these moribund Trades Councils being resurrected into a power base again?

Sorry, should have clarified: in Hackney North it's 4000 members and registered supporters.  The same probably applies to the Islington North figures. Still qualifies as a double wow, though.

I don't think Corbyn is going to like this (but the Daily Mail might):A trot group jumping on his bandwagon (those in the old Militant Tendency who stayed in the Labour Party)…

Here's another Trot group, Workers Power, deciding to "enter" the Labour Party and dump Left Unity. As parasites Trot groups need a host and a bigger one has just come along. These people have no shame.http://www.workerspower.co.uk/2015/09/%E2%80%A8jeremy-corbyns-programme-a-revolutionary-socialist-assessment/

We believe all socialists should join the Labour Party, defend and promote Jeremy’s progressive demands, and work to extend and deepen these policies in a revolutionary socialist direction. We will be working collectively in the Labour Party, hand in hand with others, to advance that cause.
