November 20, 2021 at 8:54 am #224460alanjjohnstoneKeymasterDefense Secretary Lloyd Austin, America’s top defense official, vowed to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon and to counter its “dangerous use” of suicide drones in the wider Mideast.
At an event put on by the International Institute for Strategic Studies, he stated, “… if Iran isn’t willing to engage seriously, then we will look at all of the options necessary to keep the United States secure…Our potential punch includes what our friends can contribute and what we have prepositioned and what we can rapidly flow in.”
December 6, 2021 at 12:29 am #224970alanjjohnstoneKeymasterIsraeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett urged world powers to take a hard line against Iran in negotiations aimed at reviving an international nuclear deal.
“Iran must begin to pay a price for its violations.”
Israeli spy chief David Barnea headed to Washington late on Saturday for a previously unannounced trip and Defence Minister Benny Gantz will leave on Wednesday for meetings with his US counterpart Lloyd Austin and Secretary of State Antony Blinken. Foreign Minister Yair Lapid was in London and Paris last week to discuss the talks with Israel’s European allies.
December 6, 2021 at 6:27 am #224971AnonymousInactiveI imagine that Israel only has firecrackers. It is well known that Israel is the only country in the Middle East that possess atomic bombs
December 6, 2021 at 7:04 am #224972alanjjohnstoneKeymasterI read a while back that the US had supplied Israel with non-nuclear earthquake bombs purposefully designed to destroy installations deep underground.
December 6, 2021 at 7:32 am #224973AnonymousInactiveThose are mini nukes, the same ones used in Iraq to destroy underground bunkers
December 15, 2021 at 4:35 am #225063AnonymousInactiveUNITED NATIONS, Dec 14 (Reuters) – The door to resuscitating the 2015 Iran nuclear deal is open for now but “we are rapidly reaching the end of the road” to revive a pact that is being gutted by Iran’s nuclear advances, France’s ambassador to the United Nations said on Tuesday.
December 21, 2021 at 1:41 am #225165alanjjohnstoneKeymasterIran has held an air defence drill in the vicinity of its southwestern Bushehr nuclear power plant amid ongoing tensions

February 3, 2022 at 12:47 am #226080alanjjohnstoneKeymasterIsrael is taking part in a huge US-led naval exercise in the Middle East, for the first time joining Saudi Arabia and Oman.

June 1, 2022 at 12:26 am #230111alanjjohnstoneKeymasterIsrael provided pretext for attack?
June 1, 2022 at 12:29 am #230112AnonymousInactiveIsrael is the only nation in the Middle East that possess atomic bombs. I can have them, but you can not have them. Fidel Castro said that the USA wants others countries to possess Machetes while they have the monopoly of modern weapons, the same things can be applicable to Israel
July 7, 2022 at 4:06 pm #231140alanjjohnstoneKeymasterI can’t help but think of the convenience of the timing of this story as the nuclear talks reach a crtical stage
https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2022/7/7/uk-warship-seized-advanced-iranian-missiles-bound-for-yemen
Isn’t it strange it was the British embassy in UAE, one of the Saudi Arabia’s coalition partners that briefed the media, not London
As for SAMs being found, aren’t these defensive weapons?
July 12, 2022 at 1:48 am #231238alanjjohnstoneKeymasterAnother motive for attacking Iran
Iran is planning to supply Russia with hundreds of weapons-capable drones for use in Ukraine, according to a top US official.

July 17, 2022 at 5:20 pm #231380AnonymousInactiveAnd another motive to stop the nuclear agreement with Iran and the imposition of more sanctions which have killed thousand of irianian. The lesser evil is Donald trump part 2
July 17, 2022 at 8:32 pm #231384alanjjohnstoneKeymasterCommentator Chris Hedges speculates
“The United States, Israel and Saudi Arabia are plotting a war with Iran. The 2015 Iranian nuclear arms accord, or Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), which Donald Trump sabotaged, does not look like it will be revived. U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) is reviewing options to attack if Teheran looks poised to obtain a nuclear weapon and Israel, which opposes U.S.-Iran nuclear negotiations, carries out military strikes.”
