I first became interested in Socailism back in 2008 when the global financial markets collapsed. The moment I heard the phrase "too big to fail" I know something was badly wrong. I considered myself at the time a kind of free-market libertarian type although I knew nothing about economics or politics. All I knew was that "too big to fail" did not hold up to what I thought the market was.
When I went looking for alternatives I searched for the term "Socailist Party" in Google. I found the Socialist Party of England and Wales. For me, from then on, this is what socialism was!
I've, of course, since then done a lot of reading of Marx and a lot of left papers but it was only recently, after reading about the SPGB on revleft.com that I've even heard of the party! One look at the aims and I could tell this is what I believe in. Not reformism (I even had a look at the cpgb-ml because at least they weren't about to elect a labout governemnt and hope for socialism) and most of all, no money.
So I guess my question is, how would we go about improving the google rankings? I can only imagine if I came across the SPGB all those years ago I could have saved myself a lot of trouble!
