Advert in the local paper. Well done. We need the publicity any which way we can. This is one avenue we considered here in the N.E. We asked the E.C. if we could have our members subs returned, as a fighting fund for our election campain. The E.C. placed the matter in the hands of the party treasurer and we heard no more. Such as shame, now that I see what we could have achieved. Keep up the good work, Kent & Sussex. I hope your efforts are well rewarded.

Actually, NL, all branches contesting the election were informed by email in February that they could spend up to £500 per constituency on local press advertising

And here's the one with Kevin Parkin. Only it's not a photo of him, but as we say it's the case not the face (so any old photo will do):http://oxfordstudent.com/2015/05/05/oxford-east-kevin-parkin-the-socialist-party-of-great-britain/Both interviews are published in the print issue that came out last Thursday and is distributed free to all the colleges' junior common rooms, etc. The circulation is claimed to be 15,000.

Are you excited about that Mod1? That I may have missed something really important? Confirms your prejudices about me?During February I was probably suspended from the forum, being pursued by you or distracted by yours and the Internet Committes's constant harrassment. Warning, posts dumped etc. Another self fulfilling proficy.  Are you one of those members that just love to say 'I told you so'?Well you have a few to keep you going. It is not fair on the branch that the secretary misses something so important – for whatever reason – so I will resign as secretary.Enjoy.

May I suggest you read #426?  You are being too hard on yourself.

Do you still have the email? If so, is it 'global' as it should include my email address

Can i suggest that NERB make belated claim for that 500 quid and do a post-election advert in the Sunderland Echo (?)….along the lines …not all is lost …we are still here and not gone away…join the branch…Perhaps an ad the size of message 379 in the Folkestone Heraldhttp://www.worldsocialism.org/spgb/forum/world-socialist-movement/general-election-news-release?page=37#comment-22459It may actually get more of a response after the election in the sense if themed right, it shows that we are not merely a flash in the pan, nor that we only care about votes.

That's a good idea, Alan, but why should the branch have to claim it? Shouldn't it have been sent to the branch? Why would we turn down money for advertising?I do not have the email offering the branch £500 in my inbox and my 'bin' doesn't go back to February, so logically I deleted it.
