These left winger groups do not learn their historical lesson. They still continue talking about the old Stalinist conception of the popular front, peoples front., etc, etc. They made front with the bourgeois of several countries, and they called it peoples or popular front. At the end, workers were collaborating with their own rulers

November 12, 2016 at 1:46 am #123192alanjjohnstoneKeymaster1000 new members is impressive but remember that is more than like website sign-ups with subs paid by pay-pal and not necessarily 1000 class-conscious activists. You yourself reported the decline in Left Unity…And Momentum is just as controlled by the party bureaucrat machine as the Sanders Our Revolution, with the grassroots mere foot-soldiers for protest marches.I did consider the spontaneous and mostly unplanned protests promising bu remind folk of our blog cautionary warning that we do need organisation – but proper organisation. http://socialismoryourmoneyback.blogspot.com/2016/11/president-donald-trump-and-fight-back.html
November 12, 2016 at 6:37 am #123193ALBKeymasterAren't they the nearest equivalent in the US to the Labour Party here?http://www.dsausa.org/about_dsa
Quote:As we are unlikely to see an immediate end to capitalism tomorrow, DSA fights for reforms today that will weaken the power of corporations and increase the power of working people. So a 1000 extra active reformists. Compare with our position that
Quote:As we are unlikely to see an immediate end to capitalism tomorrow, we campaign directly for socialism and so help the emergence of the majority socialist understanding without which capitalism cannot be ended and socialism established. And don't they normally support the Democratic Party?

What is DSA a front for?A front for reformism and for reformistsThe left only goes in high gear when there is a political, or economical juncture, and then, different groups, or personalities of different tendencies will collide and form a popular front to fight against imperialism and neo-liberalism, and when the juncture vanish, they will go into low gear and possible they will vanish too. This is just another reformist left wing party in the same line of thoughts as Bernie Sanders, which is in high gear due to the election of Donald Trump, and probably they have obtained new 1000 reformists that are in high gear in the political turmoil created by the Donald Trump election. They are based on the same old Leninist tactic of having a minimum program to fight for reformism, and to put more patches on the capitalist society, they can add 10,000 more members and capitalism will not be replaced for a socialist society. There are many groups like this one in the USA including the CPUSA who was supporting Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton

I know some might say 'but that's Brooklyn' but I remember a few years back that they would be lucky to get 20-25 at a meeting in Brooklyn.Different times.
