I see that Dominic Cummings has confirmed what we and others suspected that the government had originally thought in terms of letting the pandemic rip amongst the general population so as to achieve herd immunity.
At the time we said we wouldn’t be surprised if Cummings was behind it but if it wasn’t him it must have been the government’s chief scientific adviser, Sir Patrick Vallance, a real live Mad Professor.

While we in Britain focus on our insular politics and await a future public enquiry the media ignores a WHO report on the global failings already published. A lengthy read but full of detail.
I recall early last year being on an American right-wing website commenting that there was something unusual and irrational that the first reaction to the pandemic was a rush to buy guns. In the subsequent exchanges, I argued that the threat of crime other than domestic was being reduced not heightened that people were not required to arm themselves. In fact that more cooperation and mutual aid would be the eventual outcome. The stats bear me out.

Crime reports from 27 cities in Europe, Asia and the Americas found overall urban crime fell by more than a third while lockdowns were in place and then steadily climbed back up when restrictions were lifted. Robberies fell on average by 46%, and vehicle theft and daily assaults were down 39% and 35% respectively. Burglaries dropped by 28% overall, while more minor crimes such as pickpocketing and shoplifting fell by about 47% across the countries studied.

But already the expert who suggested that they had found the lab-leak ‘smoking gun’ has admitted he used hyperbole and a bad choice of words.
Like I said on another thread, you can’t trust either side in the propaganda war reflecting the conflict of economic and strategic interests between China and the US. Both are peddling fabrications and exaggerations. It is unusual, though, that one side should admit that it went too far.
I think it was because he was a scientist and was called out by other scientists on the actual science of his claim.
We still have some politicians, and they are also on the left, who suggest China is at least been negligible and involved in a cover-up. Fauci in the USA is being targeted as being complicit in a conspiracy to dismiss the lab-leak theory.
Being America, I think the next thing will be some sort of lawsuit by ambulance-chasing lawyers suing China for compensation for one of the victims resulting in some biased judge confiscating some Chinese assets and then a tit-for-tat response and a confrontation in the China South Sea and then thermo-nuclear war (just kidding)
It is just part of the struggle for world hegemony between USA and China, and they want to draw blood from China, like they did with others empires in the past. Thru history the USA has always blamed their internal problems in somebody else and peoples have always believed the lies spread by the government and they have repeat them like parrots
It has been proven that this virus came from animals like all others virus, and deforestation is one of the real contributors, and virus do not have any nationality or passport, they get scientific names. It is the USA who always use national names for everything in order to justify their criminal wars and robberies, like Donald Trump calling it the China virus, but that moron does not have any scientific knowledges, in that case the Spanish flu should be called the Kansas or USA virus
The Spanish flu started in the USA and they blamed it on Spain.( Spanish was neutral during WWI ) This virus is not new and it has been studied for years since 1960, and they found traces of the same virus in Spain, Italy and the USA before the spreading of the pandemic. This pandemic is a product of capitalism but they are not going to admit it, they are going to blame each other. If there was a laboratory leak, I think the real leaker would be the USA, and now they want to wash their hands that they do not have any bacteriological laboratory, as always they want to present themselves as world benefactors blessed by god. They can fool the fools and the acephalous.
It is case similar to the Vaccine which is one of the most advanced scientific discovery of our times because now it takes a few months to develop one vaccines instead of years, and probably in the future it can be used to cure or treat others diseases including Parkinson, Alzheimer’s Diabetes, and Pancreatitis, but a bunch of fools believe more in politicians that in scientific discovery.
Many religious peoples were against the stem cells, and the scientific discovery has saved the lives of many cancer patients specially children with Leukemia, and many child defects have been prevented. A bunch of priests was against the heart virus ( system invented by Dr Vivien Thomas ) and they were able to save the life of thousands of children or blue babies . They did not follow those cavemen
Most peoples in our times are just reading comics books and playing video games, library and bookstores are empty or going in bankruptcy
