PS Publishing on Kindle is piss easy, get an account with Kindle Direct, Createspace or IngramSpark.

So I guess it has already been done.

Of course it hasn't been done; it's just another suggestion for someone else to act upon.  If you, Vin, or someone else is able and prepared to do it I'll raise it with the EC on Saturday.  PM me the details.

As I explained. I have been looking into it. Isn't there a committee dealing with this? If so I could check its Tor first. I wouldn't want to tread on any toes and elicit another EC resolution telling me it is not my business.

To the best of my knowledge no committee is currently dealing with this although it may well fall within the province of the Internet Committee.  All that's being asked at present is detailed information about Kindle publishing.  If you, or DJP, or anyone else, is privy to that information then please impart it in time for Saturday's EC meeting.

Is a hyperlinked table of contents linked to each article going to have an adverse effect on sales when published within a week of it going on sale?

I believe it is the Internet Committee's job. As the Internet Committee has a number of 'jobs' it cannot carry  out perhaps the EC could do it's job and pass this work onto able and willing members.

I have no idea. I doubt it will deter anyone wanting the hard copy.

Quite possibly but as I doubt anyone on the current EC, myself included, knows jack shit about Kindle publishing, it would be helpful to have some information upfront from those who do.

One relatively asy way to publish is through lulu.com : just a matter of creating an account and uploading the files…

The more i think about it, i keep wondering if re-publishing what we have already written on the Russian Revolution was the most wisest choice for a publication when we appear to struggle to issue educational or agitational material on contemporary events or debates such as been mentioned on the banking thread or the resurgence of nationalism or the vilification of fellow workers who choose to re-locate. (I'm sure other members can point to other urgent social problems that require a full socialist analysis). But to answer your question, JDW, I doubt very much whether the impact will be a couple of copies, much less a couple of dozen or a couple of a hundred. BTW, what was the print-run for the book?

300 copies and yes it was the wisest choice since the Russian Revolution is still a huge barrier to socialism or else the CPB and SWP wouldn't still exist. That's not to say 100% reserve banking or nationalism can't be submitted to publications, feel free to write a draft, in fact there is one pending suggested publication under current consideration. As for simply uploading the files for Kindle, my understanding is the formatting is different in many ways from print, so much more detail is required on suggestions to publish on Kindle.

As DJP said, its piss easy.  If you have an AMAZON  account, simply use The book is converted by Kindle. The question is – who's job is it? And why does that matter as long as someone gets on with it?NB do we have a digital copy?

Sorry to be a bore. If possible could someone post a photo or scan of any page from the inside of the book? Want to know how well it is typest and laid out before I buy one. If it's any good and it has an ISBN I could possibly sell some through my mailorder book thing…

I'm sending you a PDF of the complete text so judge for yourself.  ISBN 978-1-909891-14-2

We can do better than that. We can send you a review copy. But don't worry. It's a proper 230-page book, fully proof-read and with an ISN and all.  It's in the post already.

Nothing particularly interesting. At the minute mainly just picking up second hand books and selling them on Amazon. Bought a web domain but no website yet. I've called it "Wylde Books". Might stock some new radical books, depends how well I do with the other stuff.
