I was sent these on my phone from a friend in Hamburg asking."The Black Block anarchist / Left in Hamburg G20, burning destroying vandalism of WorkingClass people's few possessions , what do they hope to achieve with this Shite ❓"
I still remember encountering them at the 2005 Make Poverty History march in Edinburgh and their disdainful attitude to our leafleting and coming to the conclusion i still keep saying …they want to make a fashion statement, not a political statement

I think they hope to achieve more than simply marching A to B or the Grand Old Duke of York strategy as it is derisively known.

The area of St Pauli has a football club whose fans supports radical actions and worker directed anti-racism, pro-gay, activities and they welcomed the demonstrators even offering 200 places at their stadium to camp out in. But many of them are questioning the maverick black bloc behaviour by sections of these recent events, finding workers cars burned and bus shelters torched by flares. This is anecdotal from another phone message I got tonight..The link just shows hte intial welcome by the club.https://www.fcstpauli.com/en/news/published/fc-st-pauli-stand-for-a-vibrant-democracy-no-ifs-no-buts/
