The Democratic Party now have control of the Senate, the House of Representatives and the Presidency. The only institution that remains out of their control is the Supreme Court.
Biden now has little excuse for not passing what some Democrats would call radical progressive policies.
In a way the right-wing assault on the Capitol gives Biden a way out … that he is the president of reconciliation and will try to placate Republicans
January 7, 2021 at 11:15 am #212180AnonymousInactiveThe USA ruling class wants another CEO and Board of directors to manage their corporation known as USA capitalism. Thousands of business managers and big business executives asked for the immediate removal of Donald Trump, they have thrown him under the bus
January 15, 2021 at 6:15 am #212522alanjjohnstoneKeymasterWe all remember the lesser evil argument from the liberals and progressives. Biden is the lesser evil and it will be easier to pressure him to shift his policies to the left.

Military Budget
[SANDERS]It goes without saying that we want a strong military. It goes without saying we want to make sure that our troops are well taken care of, that they’re adequately paid, adequately housed, that they’re provided health care, child care for their kids, etc. But it also means that the military, the Pentagon, cannot be exempt from a hard look at fraud, crossover funds.
Q. How do you expect to have that conversation with your fellow Democrats, some of whom aren’t so keen on the notion of military funding cuts?
That’s a good question. But right now what’s on my mind is really reconciliation and addressing the crisis facing working families today.
Real military spending cuts? Nope, just trimming the fat, reducing the fraud, the over-runs, the waste…

In every state there is an industry or business related to the military apparatus, it would be like trying to remove the claws of a tiger. The left in the USA does not have the same strength that they had during the Great Depression.
January 15, 2021 at 6:42 am #212530alanjjohnstoneKeymasterToo true. Sanders already is well aware of this in his home state Vermont, where he welcomed the basing of F-35s
January 15, 2021 at 6:12 pm #212559alanjjohnstoneKeymasterBiden’s $1.9 trillion relief package.
But already he is accused of fudging the $2000 pledge.
And the process is going to be the whole bill or not individual money separatewhich means it take longer to go through Congress.
January 15, 2021 at 6:39 pm #212561AnonymousInactiveThey are adding the $600.00 that was priorly released by Congress and there are more than 15 millions workers who have not received the money yet, they are blaming the problem on a software problem with the tax filing company, they have an encyclopedia of blaming and excuses
If Biden continues following the footstep of Barrack Obama the peoples of the USA are going to see another Trump in 2024, they are going to play the victim card again, probably the medication would be worst than the disease and the 81 voters would be in the other side, which would show that the essential problem is not Donald Trump, probably, the left would say that the lesser evil is Trumplike. I have not heard Chomsky blessing the new lesser evil, probably, he is writing another best-seller book
Those bills always include the deer and the lion together inside the same cage, and the lions always get more food than the deer.
In the prior bill, the owners of the small business did not get any money, or some got too little, everything was given to the big business and they blamed everything on the Covid 19 pandemic. Is the USA working class a masochist class?

Some peoples asked: Why Puerto Rico is not getting so much money like before? Well, the whole island was a military base and a catapult of assault toward Latin America placed on a strategic location, it was part of the military apparatus, and the Pentagon had nuclear missiles during the cold war period. It was their warehouse
There are not any more factories left because they were exported toward Vietnam the land of the Vietcong liberators the heroes of the leftwingers during the Vietnam war
