Under the Trump administration, the Washington Post consistently framed Title 42 as a pretext for severe restrictions on immigration, rather than presenting it at face value as a legitimate public health measure.
By contrast, in 2021 and 2022, with Biden in the White House, Title 42 restrictions were generally contextualized as a response to the pandemic.

There is no money available for bread and butter, but there is money for war, workers should see that every president has his/her own boss. With and without Donald Trump the war in Ukraine would have taken place, there is no president able to hold the bulls ( Market ) by the horns. It does sound like Ronald Reagan financing the Taliban to fight against the Soviet Union and calling them Freedom Fighters, and now the new freedom fighters are the Ukrainian army. As Marx wrote: History repeats itself, first as tragedy, second as farce
PS: Where are those famous theoreticians who called us champagne socialists? Like Fukuyama hiding under the bed
April 29, 2022 at 12:25 am #229094alanjjohnstoneKeymasterNo doubt there will be a bi-partisan agreement with the Republicans fully on board, supporting Biden. No money to cancel student debt, no money for Build Back Better but plenty of cash for a proxy war.
April 29, 2022 at 1:08 am #229096AnonymousInactiveAnd the Supreme Court rejected the disability and welfare benefits for the Puerto Ricans who are US Citizens. The same leftists that supported Joe Biden now are protesting against the decision, they are like a pendulum
PS: Probably, ” President” Manchin and “Vice President” Sinema are going to approve the Ukraine war budget
April 29, 2022 at 2:28 pm #229108alanjjohnstoneKeymasterBiden the failure revealed in this article
April 29, 2022 at 9:39 pm #229115AnonymousInactiveHe is a failure for the working class but he is a gain for the capitalist class and the armaments industry. The petroleum industries have had quadruple earnings with the war in Ukraine
May 4, 2022 at 6:18 pm #229295alanjjohnstoneKeymaster“Update on Biden’s economic agenda,” tweeted Stephen Semler of the Security Policy Reform Institute. “He’s abandoned his Build Back Better agenda and is now openly praising war profiteering.”

It looks like the US workers are masochists, and now they are going to elect the Republican again. More than 250 years endless circle. Manchin and Sinema are agents of the Republican Party , the only concern of all these politicians is to make money and to protect the ruling class and the big corporations

May 14, 2022 at 12:39 am #229557alanjjohnstoneKeymasterBiden is planning to urge states and cities to use unspent money from last year’s $1.9 trillion coronavirus relief package to further increase police funding, NBC News reported
May 14, 2022 at 12:56 am #229558AnonymousInactiveThis is the lesser evil. I don’t think he wants to wins a second term. BLM should understand that the state needs their gendarmes and unfunding the police force is not the solution. He is doing the same thing as Donald Trump was doing which was to take money from one or several departments to finance other tasks. Immediately they found money for wars but they can not find money for the Covid 19 epidemic which is spreading again. Workers have been cheated again, but despite that they will continue providing supports to their own cheaters
May 15, 2022 at 1:01 am #229581alanjjohnstoneKeymasterJust words, not deeds
At the first Global Covid-19 Summit, which took place last September, the administration mentioned the need for a Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS) waiver for vaccines as one of its key takeaways. This time, the efforts to suspend intellectual property rules at the WTO were notably missing from the White House’s summit fact sheet.

It does not make any difference if they are from the right or from the left, they are all the same, one will try to beat another one based on the errors of the prior ones
May 16, 2022 at 10:14 pm #229607alanjjohnstoneKeymasterBiden has approved the redeployment of US troops in Somalia, reversing a decision by his predecessor Donald Trump.
The deployment was requested by the Pentagon to support the fight against militant group al-Shabab.
May 16, 2022 at 11:08 pm #229611AnonymousInactiveThey can place a Cherokee or an Apache in the White House and he/she would be forced to fallow the same path of the prior presidents, it was the same case of Barrack Obama who was mixed with Europeans and Africans and he was viewed as the hope of the Afro Americans, and he followed the path of the prior presidents including George Bush and Ronald Reagan. Biden is a combination of Donald Trump 2 and Barrack Obama 2. Some individuals in this forum wanted us to support him during his campaign and election and we did not bit the bullet, they only can fool the fools. Donald Trump dropped more bombs than Barrack Obama
