Beer an “essential service”

You couldn’t make this story up.  Workers at the Carlsberg brewery in Lithuania decided to call a strike, which the employer challenged in court.  Everyone accepts that workers have the right to strike except if we’re talking about an “essential service”.  So the employer told the court that beer production was an essential service, the court agreed, and the workers have been banned from striking.
