Some on the forum will be aware that i detest the BBC news-service. As for the licence fee —it is a tax imposed on all users of a television receiving set whether BBC is watched or not. It is being extended to the internet where access to BBC Iplayer will be restricted to fee-paying users (it is already limited to UK residents)We are being obliged to pay for capitalist propaganda. These are just personal views and not held collectively by other members who may well hold opinions that the BBC has some merit deserving of public-funding for the (all-to-rare) art/science programme.

That book is very good. In fact 10 more copies have been ordered for resale to Party members. If you want to order one email Head Office. Cost, including postage, will be £10 or so.

BBC and the Voice of the Americas ( funded by the CIA )  were competing with Moscow Radio, Tirana Radio, Peking Radio and Habana Radio during the peak of the cold war. In that time most peoples were using shortwave radio

Probably, it is much better than the one written by Noam Chomsky
