At Glastonbury Jeremy Corbyn kept repeating the phrase "Another World Is Possible". Referring to changing the world and not just the country. I am sure I have seen this on a pamphlet, socialist standard or a video or some other SPGB publication.
I was thinking it would be a good title for the new whiteboard animation introducing the party.
June 26, 2017 at 11:49 am #127967jondwhiteParticipant'Another World is Possible' was the slogan of the World Social Forum and the anti-globalisation movement in the 1990shttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Social_ForumIt's not a SPGB slogan and I don't think its specific enough for us anyway.

'Against war, no exceptions.''The only socialists on the ballot''All our members are equal''Abolition of the wages system''Workers of the world unite, you have nothing to lose but your chains''No compromise, no political trading''The Communists do not form a separate party opposed to the other working-class parties. They have no interests separate and apart from those of the proletariat as a whole.' 'Communism is for us not a state of affairs which is to be established, an ideal to which reality [will] have to adjust itself. We call communism the real movement which abolishes the present state of things. The conditions of this movement result from the premises now in existence.' 'the greatest sectarians and the biggest brawlers and rogues are at certain moments the loudest shouters for unity. Nobody in our lifetime has given us more trouble and been more treacherous than the unity shouters.'
June 27, 2017 at 8:52 am #127972Young Master SmeetModeratorI've a pamphlet at home from when John McDonnell was standing for Labour Leader, entitled 'Another world is possible', that's what, 2005?
June 27, 2017 at 9:21 am #127973AnonymousInactiveThanks for the suggestions From what you say 'Another World is Possible' is not a good idea for us to use because it is associated with Labour but then so is 'socialism' Here is a link to a first draft, which needs a title. I was thinking simply " An Introduction to World Socialism" Or 'What Does the Socialist Party Stand For?"http://www.hand-drawn.co.uk/socialism-explained.html

Sounds like the same one.

We are looking for a title to this whiteboard animation presently in production: http://www.hand-drawn.co.uk/socialism-explained.html But I think a video on how socialism will work or what it could be like is a good idea
